Sure, I'd be happy to stop watching boxing when all fighters fight like Floyd, Wlad, B-Hop, Ward, etc. Boxing would die if that happened.

What some people call boring is seen as technical excellence by some boxing fans. Floyd, Rigo, Loma, Hopkins ... Some of us have actually boxed and appreciate that level of mastery. You don't see many real boxers who hate on "boring" boxers. It's usually ignorant fan boys.

Wasn't a master class like Canelo, Corrales, Gatti by no means but it was one of his easier wins.

Because they win. Other boxers respect that. Doesn't mean it's not boring as ****.

Entertaining all time greats like Tyson are not skillless club fighters like these Floyd fans make it seem like.

If Kovalev can't stop a clinch fest then he deserves to lose.

I thought Floyd/Pacquiao was a close fight. I had it even after 10m rounds with Floyd winning the last 2 as I recall. You are right, it wasnt a masterclass but a close fought fight. A masterclass to me are fights like when Calzaghe beat Lacy or Hopkins when he beat Pavlik as examples

I actually found Ward - Froch quite entertaining, Froch was definitely going for it even though he was frustrated, and Ward actually managed to land quite a bit himself.

Ward - Kessler was a bit of a stink-fest though to be honest. Perhaps the referee should've intervened, but I can't blame a fighter for doing what he needs to do to get the win.

Yeah or Roy Jones v Toney,I know Floyd kops some stick but some of his fights are mega to watch, his win over Canelo I thought was a masterclass in that only a fool would allow a much bigger guy like Canelo hit them,we saw how it worked out for Khan once he stopped moving,Floyd didn't stink that fight up though,he commanded Canelos respect by hitting him as hard as he could and made Canelo hit fresh air, what Ward does albeit effective in winning points is worse to watch in my book as that clinching and intentional dirty stuff is so one sided,it's up to Kovalev to do what nobody so far has managed to pull off,I think he can.

I don't think Ward has the Chin to hang in there with Kovalev. I also don't think the clinching, grabbing, wrestling tactics will work on Kovalev like they have with Wards other opponents.

Kovalev is not some stiff crude clubbing puncher. He is calculating, fluid, patient and picks and places his punches. If he was a Sam Peter type caveman fighter I absolutely agree that Ward could win using those tactics. But he isn't.

I'm a Wlad fan so I can't give Ward flack for his clinching... Besides that he actually has real boxing skill unlike John Ruiz.

Ward's best punch is his headbutt, but his elbows, low blows, holding, etc., are next to that...............
