Put me on ignore then I don't exactly look forward to your circular logic posts myself.
What does Tua bring to the table that Charles hasn't seen?
225lbs of muscle and power, a granite chin , and the hardest left hook he will have encountered. Tua would be on him for every second of the fight Charles would have to box the perfect fight,Walcott decapitated him with a left hook and he wasn't in Tua's league for power or chin.Tua carried his power into the last second of a fight and was capable of a very high punch rate.187.5lbs Marciano bullied Charles around the ring,Tua is nearly 40 lbs heavier than Rocky, maybe he could do the same? So long.

Artificial weight does not necessarily equate to extra strength.
I think your problem is you refuse to match men up as they actually were ,but always want to create a mythical chimera, a Frankenstein cloned version of a fighter that is just a hyperbolic projection of your imagination.

I'm not familiar with his posts, but your response can apply to me as I often say things like "X with an extra stone of muscle would beat y"

Ultimately there is no right or wrong answer is there? But I find it inherently obvious that is Toney would have took on the HW division still weighing 160 on fight night he would not have been as successful as he was.

I think Jowcol hates the matches from different eras and always weighs in with give him 25lbs and modern training etc, so I was probably mixing you up.I'm a bit more testy than usual this morning ,so disregard my grumpiness.
ps I obviously agree about Toney and his steroids.

Marciano did not "bully" Charles around the ring. In fact Charles held his own which is one of the reasons the fight was so close. Tua was ****ing fat not to mention and had at least a 20% bf percentage. Muscle is nothing new. a hard punch is nothing new. Marciano was on Charles for 15 rds throwing non stop bombs. Have you watched the Byrd fight? Byrd absolutely baffled Tua with just a jab making him look amateurish at times. Charles was a far better puncher and fighter than Byrd ever was.

Walcott knocked out a 30 year old Charles with a type of left hook that Tua never threw. So you're saying that Tua's muscle, power, and chin are the only things he brings to the table. All of which Charles has encountered before aside from the size perhaps. Marciano kept his power until the last second of the fight as well. Not much of an argument. Got any examples of Prime Charles?

Why couldn't Tua do better in his own era? Sounds invincible the way people talk about him on here. I talk to other fans on another site and they rarely talk about Tua and when they do he gets held in the light that he was in the 90s.

Then why are you arguing that he would lose?

Show me where I said Charles would lose ? All I have done is answered your questions which apparently annoys you.
Here is my prediction from page one.

"I'd give Charles the edge but would not be surprised if Tua connected and it was lights out for Ezzard"

Then what is the point of everything you have said? you arguments have been in favor of Tua by knockout. I didn't say you said he would lose btw I said you have been arguing he would.

I think the point is we can't dismiss those who are less great. Instead we should consider the style clash.

I find it hilarious when you come to sites like this and people still try to compare 170 pound light heavyweights and put them against 220 pound true heavyweights. No matter how skilled you want to believe Charles was he wasn't a heavyweight by modern standards. There are weight classes for reason.

If Charles ran the 220 pound in shape Tua would still catch him and put him to bed in a few rounds tops.
