The supposedly durable lightweight champion gets knocked down every time McGregor touches him, which happens to be every time he engages. He jumps back up each time to continue. After fifth KD referee steps in as McGregor finishes a punch while he is on the ground.

I have never seen a fight where almost everything thrown by one guy lands and hurts the other.

    Any suggestions / ideas / discussion ?

Looked kind of fishy at times.. But I think Alvarez just froze up. I've followed his career since the Dream days and he's a guy who could always be hit and hurt. Recovers great, but gets hit and hurt often.

No dive. McGregor is simply feasting on these midgets with his superior punching technique, and reach. UFC listed Alvarez at 5'9 in the tale of the tape, but Alvarez is like 5'7, and you could tell in the ring, McGregor was the taller, lengthier guy. Alvarez would lunge in with shots, and not even reach McGregor, and McGregor would simply counter landing flush due to his longer reach. It almost wasn't fair. McGregor has that type of power and accuracy. He showed it when Aldo dived into his left hand. He showed it when he dropped Diaz repeatedly, and he showed it again when he dropped Alvarez repeatedly. MMA guys have to step their boxing defense up if they are going to throw their gameplan out the window, and stand in with McGregor trying to throw hands. Bring in a real boxing coach, or a Martial Arts Master to work on punch defense if you are going to stand in with him. Alvarez distance was all wrong as well.

He's just got precision timing and accuracy. Its not power as such think opponents just get jolted but not knocked out.

He draws them in and hits very fast

Every fight he has his left hurts his opponent. I think if mayweather had those tiny gloves his fast straight right would have a similar effect.

Absolutely fishy!!! Alvarez was the top LW for years, had beaten top elite talent and former champions at 155, yet Connor knocked him down several times by punches Nate Diaz took with ease? It's BS, the conspiracy is that Connor is bigger than any active boxer, is fabricated by the UFC and Dana white. Alvarez who was a top fighter the UFC never acquired got beat easily by an average FW? **** THAT!!!

...and what's that jab-replacement technique where Conor paws out his right hand trying to grab the conventional fighter's left jab. Are we supposed to believe a guy with no right hand, no jab, no ground game and hardly a kicking game is able to just land that left hand at will, without a jab to set it up, and destroy everything it touches. If that's the case, it's got to have something special behind it, because there is no-one else with that kind of weapon in MMA or boxing.

Difference is in boxing you don't get amateurs lunging in and walking onto shots like you do in MMA. Conner got his head boxed of when he trained in Freddie Roach's gym, just goes to show the difference in levels....

MMA is basically just crap boxing with small amount of grappling thrown in.

Yeah that's true and yet I remember the first time I saw Conor and I rember thinking I'd never seen anything like him before, hard to put ones finger on but I think it was his cat like movement, balance and a cool head,Alverez though fought a bad fight and just ran onto everything.
Crazy thing is Conor was seconds away from losing against Nate in his last fight, who could bet against him though now even against Kabib?

IMO It was a classic case of getting rocked early and the game plan going out the window. I think McGregor's antics also drags guys into wanting to prove their stand up more than they should.
Need a guy that fights like GSP and will stick to the double leg no matter what.

    Go F*ck yourself

Conor talked the talk, and walked the walk

    Deal with it

McGregor's punching accuracy is top notch. Dropped Aldo face first with a single precision shot. Dropped Diaz, and Alvarez repeatedly with Precision single shots. He has some great accuracy.

He kept moving to his right, that alone was enough to have Connor pasting him with punches expected more Alvarez
