Actually one PED cheat stivern... povetkin was already cleared as it was legal when he took it. but hey why let facts get in the way.
Povetkin took a PED period he's a cheat. I have no problems with two cheats fighting each other like I didn't have a problem with Vargas-Salido either.
Well, that is actually incorrect since Povetkin technically didn't take any forbidden substance, and naturally he was never banned or fined.
Why would he? Bermane took a currently banned substance, Povetkin did NOT. Is that so hard for you to understand?
He took a Ped the **** he took is currently banned. Just because he took it a few months before it was banned doesn't mean **** to me. Povetkin knew he was taking something that was going to enhance performance otherwise he wouldn't have taken in. He's as much a cheat as stiverne is. You ****bois can play dumb all you want. People like me know the deal.
Everyone takes stuff to enhance their performance you idiot. Why take any supplements then? The issue is whether it is illegal or not. It was not when he took it. Bermane took something that was already illegal when he took it. **** is as simple as it gets but you still don't get it.
I know it's complicated, but people are really getting this wrong all over the place. Povetkin may have taken a PDF that was banned at the time. He got conflicting and confusing results. WBC made a good call in a tough situation and split the difference, giving him an interim shot. It would be a bit hypocritical for him to try to back out of this fight now, but would also make Wilder look a bit bad if he goes forward with it.
The last two years of boxing have been so, so awful. This year had only a few big fights - Ward-Kovalev, Lomachenko-Walters (both unknown to casuals), Thurman-Porter and a complete sham of an Olympics. One memorable fight against two GOOD opponents - Miura-Salido
Taking performance enhancing substances isn't cheating in and of itself; it only becomes cheating if the substances themselves are prohibited for sporting use. While Meldonium is now banned, there are still a huge number of substances not on WADA's list that could constitute enhancing performance in varying degrees. Why shouldn't a fighter take these if they know they're going to go unpunished for it? To do otherwise would be to deny themselves the best chance of victory within the current rules of the sport.
The Olympics just banned most of Russian Olympic team for state sponsored Ped use. You think I'm dumb enough to believe povetkin didn't think he was taking peds???
Wtf? Didn't I just say he was? Of course Pov knew he was taking an enhancer, why would he take it otherwise. It was still NOT illegal. His opponent could have taken it too if he wanted to because it was not illegal.
