Mixed rules and it's an interesting spectacle. Otherwise it's **** be it MMA or Boxing.

Void can't run in the cage or hug his way out of engaging. He has the edge in striking with his fist. But Mcgreggor would choke him out on the ground with ease.

You can run in a cage. You are actually allowed to turn your back and run in that sport and I've seen that very tactic used by McGregor in his first fight with diaz

It's only fair if Connor could kick to head and body. No legs though.

MMA fighters have different stances in anticipation of take downs and kicks. conor will not be able to hit as hard because of the stance, all Mayweather has to anticipate are punches plus boxing gloves are much more padded than mma gloves. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather tko's conor in the late rounds, conors stamina is horrendous, against a runner like Mayweather he will be completely gassed by round 6.

Connors self promotion is as incredibly good as his ability to fight, but the paydays he has in comparison to what Floyd has raked in are not a real comparison, he could make more in one fight against Floyd than he could 4/5 fights in UFC

Indeed. I was just pointing out that he's rich enough to not need to chase a Floyd fight in a way that lots of other potential opponents aren't.

Yeah I can agree with that and in the mean time by dropping it in every so often it helps to sell him/his next fight; this is an age old scenario now though with fighters from different combat sports being compared by the fans - its a hard argument to make for those debating either man could beat the other in their opponents chosen sport though!

Indeed. Style wise, boxers who are punchers have a slim chance of having some success in MMA whereas the MMA guys really have no chance in a boxing ring.

It's an uncomfortable truth for MMA fans that no UFC guy could hang with the top boxers but the likes of a Golovkin or even a Wilder or a Joshua would be a serious threat to an opponent in their weight class with their heavy hands. Obviously once they go down it's over for them but there's a chance it might not come to that.

    Grapplers beat strikers 9/10 times.

I'm not arguing that although Conor's success with his striking ability has a lot of people wondering what someone like a Pacquiao could have done in the octagon.

I'm just saying that a world class boxer beats an MMA guy at boxing 10/10. None of those guys have anywhere near the required skill level to hang with the best boxing has to offer at the moment.

Will this be a boxing match or an MMA match? Everybody is saying Fluid is going to kill Mac, that's no brainer if they are boxing. Now on the other hand if it's MMA rules he would kill Floyd, unless he's been secretly training on his ground game.

All the finest grapplers on Earth do not even turn in to MMA fighters, if they did MMA would be dominated by olympic champions. No elite boxer could take on an elite grappler if they entered the MMa ring and vice versa.
