    I don't either but, how many times have guys used the Boone fight to discredit Wards chin, when Kov was dropped by the same man. I hate the hypocrisy!!!

    Indeed, Boone has dropped the 3 top LHW's and has a ko win over one.

    Ward's chin is pretty solid, he's taken far bigger punches from bigger punchers since the Boone
    fight and hasn't folded. He's only been down once in his career. That being said,
    Kovalev certainly has the power to detonate almost anyone but with Ward's likely
    sturdy beard and his excellent defense, even with a Kovalev win, I don't think
    Ward gets stopped.

    I was ring side for that fight. It was hardly an "ass beating". It was a dull affair, with neither boxer throwing much of anything. Stevens won handily, but it was more of a tactical affair, if you can even call it that.

    Stevens won. But as I recall, both guys barely threw 15 punches a round between them. One of the worst fights I ever attended, and that's saying something because I was at Klitschko-Ibragimov, too.

    The worst i attended was stevens vs dirrel when you want to see a fighter really running(not boxing) watch that fight so pathetic from dirrel so scared to even sit down on his punches even a little

    I wasn't in attendance for that one, but I remember that being just as dull as Stevens-Boone.

    It wasn't any worse as I recall. I think you're looking back on Stevens-Boone with rose-tinted glasses. It was mostly a fight of posturing with very few punches thrown, because Stevens was fighting not to get hit, and always had a lethargic punch output with very low activity.
