I also saw Kovalev doing slightly more than Ward in the 12th. I don't know what the punch landed count for each was in the round, but it looked like Kovalev got it.

All the people gloating and claiming Ward won fair and square, you're all intellectually dishonest liars and propagandists, and the scum of the ****ing earth. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

    We won the fight because:
    1. It was an amazing fight
    2. We get to see it again! Rematch coming 2017!

Kovalev was holding just as much if not more. Countless headlocks and bull rushing ward to the ropes. Both illegal.

But he didn't sweep 4 rounds. And that's the issue here.
The third was arguably Wards and nothing happened in the 4th.

Well; after all I did not get to see the tight but I am recording it so I'll watch it at my earliest convenience. I'll give my opinion then. A friend from the gym called & said Ward won, he's a Ward fan BTW, He didn't
gloat he just said " Fight could have gone either way was that close Ward got away with a lot of running & holding but you couldn't call it a robbery. So I'll keep my word as always & say........
CONGRATULATIONS ANDRE WARD !!! You proved me wrong you came you fought you won
    Lookin Forward to the Rematch

Don't delude yourself. Ward punches certainly affected Kovalev. Check his face after the fight. And bodypunching slowed Kovalev down for sure.

Ward's win is not that indigestible. But the way judges replicated the scores looks bad.

How many times has Ward fought in his opponent's backyard/home country?

    A big fat zero.

How many times has he entered the ring as a pro where the referee wasn't also a fellow American?

    A big fat zero

He's had Californian refs for something like 23 of his pro fights and in the vast majority of those instances all the judges were Californian too.

He's had home advantage whether it be hometown, home state or home country for every single one of his fights against world class opposition. Literally every single one.

Wanna take a guess how many times Kovalev has had Russian referees and judges working his fights?

There is no defending this ****. Having 3 US judges and a US referee working the fight is disgusting.

I agree. This fight wasn't even close. Look at Ward's face. Hitting Kovalev with one jab isn't the same as getting hit by Kovalev with three solid counters.

That ref did nothing to stop the elbows and holding.

Is there an unbias result of the fight statistics?

C'mon, don't be a fool. Kov was clearly slowing from the numerous body shots that Ward was landing with increasing regularity. I had Kov up by one at the end but won't argue with the result because there were a lot of tight middle rounds that could have gone either way.
