    No they didn't.

Kovalev didn't land "most" of his 126 punches in the first four rounds. He wasn't landing 30 punches a round at the beginning of the fight.

It was a bad decision. Plain and simple.

Fights are scored on a round by round basis. Landing more punches doesn't mean you've won.

Ward was landing the cleaner, more authorative punches as the fight went on. This is a fact. From a huge left hook upstairs to body shots that drained the life out of Kovalev.

I have the same feelings. This became a forum for Ward's nutthugers.

Of course not. Im No fan of either fighter. First half , a knocdown with 2 swing rounds. Second half, all ward minus 1 swing rounds = close fight = no robery

Yes, on the judges score cards some how Ward won 7 out of the last 10 rounds.

Rocked in the 1st, dropped in the 2nd. Kovalev no doubt won the first 2 rounds. You telling me Kovalev only won 3 more rounds the rest of the fight?

It's a robbery in the sense that the guy that everyone thought won didn't get the decision.

LOL, really cause last I remember Kovalev's punches were the ones who busted Ward up, knocked him down, and had him wobbly and going back all night. So tell me again how Ward landed the more authoritative shots? Cleaner, Kovalevs seemed pretty clean when Ward ate it on his way down?

    "As the fight went on"

Maybe you should learn how to read before acting like a smartass.

No.. Kovalev looked like a sloppy old man down the stretch.. Half the punches were scuffing, barely landed blows bar the round when Ward was showboating.

Funny, people are so wooped and used to roberries. They dont even dare call it that anymore. The guys got outpunched, out landed, did not control the flow of the fight. Only became competitive in the second half of the fight. But lets call it a somewhat ambigous decision. Grow a backbone and call it for what it is. This sport as been so corrupt for so long, that many are actually convinced that to win a boxing descision you need to use wrestling and not punch a guy. Bull ramming is also very cool.

I thought Ward won 8 rounds pretty clear with another round very close, he landed the cleaner punches and for the most part nullified Kovalevs offense, great comeback after the KD. Mad respect to both fighters, was a hell of a fight.

"Drained the life out of him?"

Yeah, he looked real lifeless in there ... outjabbing Ward, outpunching Ward, backing up Ward, dropping Ward ... tying up Ward when he tried to get inside ... walking Ward backwards when they were in clinches. Controlling the action.

    Yeah, drained.

    Terrible verdict.

If Ward landed more jabs, more power shots, threw more total punches, flattened Kovalev ... and it was a unanimous decision in favor of Kovalev in Russia ...

People on here would have a freaking stroke.

So are you going to make any comments regarding the actual fight or are you content with hiding behind your stats?

Yes, Kovalev outlanded Ward. By 10 punches. That does NOT indicate that he was outlanding him the whole fight. Ward landed more jabs for the record. If you're going to recite stats at least get them right.

Yes, he also dropped Ward. In the second round. Did I deny that Kovalev won the second round?

You need to accept reality. Ward swept away most of the mid and late rounds, was landing the more significant punches and was genuinely sapping Kovalevs strength with his body punches. Kovalev was reduced to throwing sloppy punches that had virtually no effect. Ward was at least landing clear leather.

If you think Kovalev won, that's fine. But don't try to pretend that it wasn't close. It was.
