2 judges didn't give Kovalev a round after the 6th

cheers i think i remember that round were he wound up the right hand to showboat an got clocked with a jab by kova lol.. then immediately did it again

 

We need to show these boxing judges that we are tired of being slapped around like a red headed step child. A class action lawsuit to stop judges from continually and blatantly fixing fights in Vegas might be just what they need.

 

Yep, that's the rd, it was even up till then for me, and that won the rd.

 

He won 10 & 12 clearly.

 

He did not win 12 clearly. That's like me Ward won 3-5 CLEARLY. Want to play that game?

but see THIS IS WHAT I MEAN people are screaming "robbery" this and "bull****" that when 1 jab separated your round card.. i did not give him a round after 5 and ward completely changed it up. came forward and smothered kova trying to get work in then catching him stepping in when kova came forward, i wont say kova got dominated in the later half because he had some success but i dont recall a tough round for me to score after the early rounds.

if i felt both landed the same ammount of telling shots id lean towards who had the better defense and who controlled the fight. ward WAS IN CONTROL he made him look very silly at times and obviously a defensive fighter like ward was going to win the battle of defense.

i knew alot of idiotic fanboys would scream robbery, THATS ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN but i cant believe some balanced posters had a hard time scoring this fight ?

 

I think he landed a straight too, not sure I'm going to rewatch it again tomorrow forsure when they play it on tv, I'd be interested to hear the japanese commentators too. But yeah I agree with pretty much what you said, close fight no robbery.

Yeah, but the judges had Ward winning and Ward had a higher connect percentage. The fact is, we can go on and on with the technical stuff but it won't change nothing. Ward was awarded the fight and if a person supported Kovalev, then they think that he won. If they supported Ward, the decision was correct. I just hope the rematch gets made.

Alot of fighters that were ringside said the fight was close. People screaming might be caught up in the HBO bias commentary.

I know he lost them on the scorecards. But I mean those are the rounds that Kovalev rallied back and started to win again. He even outlanded Ward in 2 of the last 3 rounds. Again they were close, but I can't find any logical way how someone could not find a single round to give to Kovalev in the last 3 (let alone last 6).
