Damn I didn't even realize IntentionalButt passed out, or lost interest and wasn't doing the RBR, otherwise my rundowns would have been far more detailed. Sorry about that guys. I was so transfixed by the match I wasn't reading anyone else's posts, only doing my score and went back to watching the match.

Thought Kovalev won the first 4 rounds and the 10th. Had Ward winning the rest though, 7 to 5 rounds affair. Thought it was a real masterclass from Andre, when he upped the workrate. Special fighter.

I had Ward by 3 - good scores by the judges in my opinion. Wanted Kov to win before but during the fight Ward won me over.

With american judges and referees, what did you guys seriously expect? This is why boxing has become so BS. In my opinion, you have to pretty biased to claim that Ward deserved to win. He showed heart, but overall Kovalev was the better fighter yesterday.

Only just now watched the fight. Great fight imo, really close, could have given it to either guy. Scored it 114-114 myself.

Ward seemed to start a bit slow and Kovalev was timing him well early on. Then later in the fight Ward seemed to wake up whereas Kovalev seemed to tire. His power waned and his work rate dropped.

Ward showed a lot of heart. Things that stood out to me wer Ward's body work and left hook to the head. Kovalev's power, jab and timing early on in the fight. Also how Kovalev used his strength to stop Ward working in the inside at times. Both guys showed great timing and great jabs.

Listen fanboy, Ward hit the canvas, showing his chin IS fragile. Is it the glassiest ever, maybe not - but Kovalev will shatter that mandible when they fight again. Count on it.

God damn you, Maurice Hooker. I fell asleep in the fourth round of his match, and woke up a bit after midnight to see the Sky pundits in the studio recapping Kovalev vs. Ward, probably directly after it concluded.

Spare me the blind hero-worship fanboy. Most fighters have glass jaws to one degree or another, and critical boxing fans will point this out. Fanboys like you can't seem to accept this.

I'm not a fan of Wards. I just respect him. I was and still a fan of Kov's. It took this very fight for Ward to make me a fan.
Most of us fans except for the less than 1% of **** posters like you and Rico don't care one way or another about jaws period. It's their careers and you don't seem to understand that. There is a mental block that you're ***** ass puts value into saying, "He has a glass jaw"! You two are the only two posters on any forum that I've ever posted under who even mentions this stupid ****.

My two cents in the fight I picked Ward always a boxer over a puncher close fight Kov the aggressor all the time neutralizing (holding) Ward in the in fight I think the ref let him get away with the tactic, gave Ward the credit and warrior mentality to comeback from an early defeat but I have to be fair he lost the fight.

Glass jaws exist, and lots of fighters have them. There is nothing wrong with pointing this out. In fact, for reasons stated below, it is ESSENTIAL.

Punch resistance is THE most critical factor in boxing. If you don't have a solid mandible, this makes you vulnerable to getting KOd. And therefore, this vulnerability needs to be examined in assessing the potential outcomes of fights.
