I could see Ward doing a Fury and pulling out of the rematch due to 'injury' or court-house meetings.

S.O.G was rocked several times by mere jabs and already tasted the canvas once, next time he will taste it again but for longer.

Kovalev should've finished him off in the 3rd or 4th round after the KD.

Kovalev already said he's going to destroy Ward in the rematch, he's not going to try box for 12 rounds and get robbed by the judges. Ward knows what's going to happen, he's going to get KTFO.

Ward will win easier next time, Kovalev simply hasn't got what it takes to defeat the master tactician.

We have no idea, but it isn't like he has much of a choice because of the rematch clause.

Master tactician?? lol. A master wouldn't find himself wobbled, dropped and outfought. If the master of mousiness has the balls to get in there again,it's going to be even more painful.

So you think he was on the verge of being stopped? I agree SK's power took him by surprise however Ward's ability to adjust, prep and eventually neutralize the effects of SK's offense was down right impressive. The bodywork he put in when SK was pulling out of range for an anticipated left counter to the head was just pure. Its all based on perspective and while I was also impressed with SK's determination, power and accuracy he just doesn't have the layers that Ward does....the only person that looked debilitated was SK late in the fight when he looked absolutely exhausted. Mind you I wouldn't have argued a 7-5 win for SK I had two swing rounds that the judges gave to Ward and 7-5 for Ward was also acceptable.

Said the same thing about Hopins. Hell, most thought that Hopkins would duck Dawson the first time too.
Ward will take the rematch, as it would likely be an even bigger payday than was the last fight.
Too much money on the table for someone like Ward.

No he isnt going to pull out. He will make a lot money from the rematch, already beaten SK even with the knockdown on the judges scorecards, which I dont agree with. He will win the rematch by a better margin if he does not get knockdown, unless its held in russia with 3 russian judges. But it's more than likely to be Oakland or at least usa.

Ward is the smarter fighter and has the better boxing brain although Kovalev was very impressive. I think ward will win pretty convincingly next time. It took a few rounds for Ward to work out Kovalev but once he did he looked pretty comfortable in there. I think in the next fight Kovalev will be more aggressive and just keep eating counters all night long. I think Kovalev fought the perfect fight he possibly could against Ward and still lost. Also flip that Ward had the worst start possible and still won.

All you all thought he'd never take this fight to begin with.. and now that he won and won by solving Kovalev after the 2nd round he's scared? Come on.... Ward will be a bigger favorite in a re-match... by a lot.

I hope Ward will take a rematch, I think he might price himself out of a rematch and not to avoid the fight but I think Ward will want huge money now, monster money and I'm not sure he has the right sort of profile even after Saturday to demand/expect huge money.
