    Right decision in my opinion. Regardless of who you had winning neither did enough to take over from Gonzalez for me.

    It's very debatable. Everyone was saying Ward vs Kovalev winner would take #1 since the fight was announced. But since that fight was announced Gonzalez walked through Arroyo and then went up and added a new division on his resume by defeating Cuadras. For people who like Gonzalez as #1 they have a solid case for it. But I think most people are just looking for a big guy to take the spot to represent the sport.

    They can't deny him for too long. It's only a matter of time before he claims the top p4p spot. He'll outpoint Kovalev again in the rematch and unify the titles shortly after. All hail the Mighty S.O.G.!

    I've had Loma number 1 since Mayweather retired, and I have him number 1 now. Ward earned a hof vote in my opinion beating Kovalev, but I just can't demote Loma, Rigo, and Gonzalez in my p4p appraisal. Ward mentally adjusted and made it his fight against Kovalev, but I can't see him beating Loma, Rigo, or Gonzalez like that. Not detracting from Ward's greatness, just think those three are that good.

    Not in the top 5 ffs he just beat a top 5 guy in a close fight whether you had him winning or not it was a close fight.
