Ward talked about beating Klits a year or so back, starting to truly believe it. He can beat Klit.

He went down from a LHW punch. His face looked like he was hit by a bus. Wlad would murder him.

Klitschko vs. Ward could shatter clinch-u-box records. Clinches would surpass punches (thrown, let alone landed) by about 10:1 at least.

Kovalev likely hits a bit harder than all but a small percentage of heavyweights, tbf.

You don't need to create a fantasy match-up for that. It happened in reality vs Povetkin.
    180 clinch : 139 punch

Damn, that might be more hugs in 36 minutes than I've ever gotten from any individual girlfriend.

The only way Ward makes it past Cruiserweight is if he avoids Usyk at all costs.

Virgil Hunter said Ward will be HW champ of the world by 32. If sanchez said it about 3g there'd be 10 threads made already...

Joke topic but, if Kova's Ward shook him up that badly, a Wlad jab knocks him out.

I don't buy that for a second. Ultra-shot Shannon Briggs is a top 50 HW. Still he probably hits twice as hard as Kovalev just by definition.

    Wlad wins via accidental murder.

Because he's bigger? You know it has been a widely held theory for generations now (largely substantiated in recent years by published results following major advancements in qualitative metrics programs, like SPARQ) that power disparities between weight divisions have a point where they relatively plateau off, right? With the line of demarcation usually considered to be middleweight or super middle and up?

For instance: a MW hits exponentially harder than a flyweight they outweigh by 50lb, but there isn't anywhere near that same proportional leap between that same MW and someone campaigning at the low end of HW, just ten pounds or above the cruiser limit, outweighing him by that same 50lbs.

From about 160 up, a full-grown man with bone-crunching power and some technique can potentially hurt/drop/render unconscious pretty much any other grown man.

So yes, a massive smasher of 250lbs probably does on average pack more wallop than any light heavy with a high KO ratio, but 1) not by as much as that same light heavy packs more than any given super bantam, rather by a comparatively marginal amount with the returns diminishing as you ascend the scales 2) Briggs isn't a massive smasher anymore; in his prime was blessed with clubbing power but never had refined technique and now, especially after 2-3 rounds of chasing an opponent, is unable to generate even that same clubbing power once his asthma kicks in, and 3) Kovalev isn't just any light heavy with a high KO ratio; many sparring partners have said that he does in fact possess HW-like power.
