Cruiserweight and Heavyweight thread.

Hearn isn't a friggn matchmaker. He is always saying this fighter should fight that fighter. How about match AJ to a top 10 opponent and see if he is all that.

 

Rostislav Plechko 9-0 (9) is a quality heavyweight prospect, ruthless, very attack minded, heavy handed. Definitely one to watch. More people need to know about him.

 

I decided to take a break from reading about Kovalev and Ward. Let's get to the king of the divisions - Heavyweight. How do you see the next 2 years, who is going to pop up in the rankings and what will happen with the top dogs?
1. Klitschko - he will retire soon , too many injuries. I hope to see him vs Joshua, he would probably loose, but it will be the perfect way to transfer his legacy to someone else.
2. Ortiz - 50/50 boxer, after his last fight he gave us a lot of thoughts about his careeer. Is he going to be used just to boost Joshua's career or Hearn has plans for him too? Is he so good, we can't tell, but either he could become a champion and then gets retired by Joshua or he will become shot and will cash out.
3. Joshua - probably the biggest future prospect. Some people would say his chin and stamina are questionable but anyways this guy set his path to the fame. He is making the show. I don't know if he is going to the USA for the big money, because right now after Kovalev's match everyone is doubtfull about fighting an USA fighter in his backyard with his judges.
4. Wilder - He is doing a show too, they are pretty similar with Joshua because both fighters are carefully matched. Wilder is improving but I want to see him and Joshua stepping up and go for the big fights. Proven boxers from top15.
5. Pulev - He will be done with boxing soon. Too much inactivity. He is waiting for the cash out, has some skills but not enough to be THE champion. But we have seen way worse champions in the face of Martins and Browne.
6. Parker - The number 2 prospect, along with Joshua theese guys will dominate the division for sure. After beating Ruiz it will be interesting who is he going to face.
7. Glazkov - I cannot say anything about him. No info about his injury , or his plans in the future. He is a decent fighter but I don't think he has the skills to be a champion. ( Same as Pulev )
8. Teper and Browne - theese guys should be banned for life. Caught several times cheting , they have no place in the picture. I admired Browne's win against Chagaev but he is doing stupid things.
9. Martin, Breazeale, Trevor Bryan, Washington, Miller - weak boxers, which will be used just as a punching bag. Even Martin is becoming a rapper - good for him. USA will be without any skilled heavyweights pretty soon.
10. Mollina, Chisora, Duhaupas, Scott, Thompson, Takam, Jennings - the best gatekeepers. I would rank Jennings above them, he is amazing and hope to see him back in the ring as soon as possible. These guys are not afraid of taking fights and be the underdogs.
11. The europeans - I have no idea why Hammer is in top20. He is too slow and you cannot sell his style. Szpillka is questionable, how is he going to be after his loss. David Haye... he is just talking and waiting for the big payday . He is skilled imo, but his time is over. Didn't impress me at all with his recent "victories". He was talking about a big fight in December, well it's almost december and I cannot hear him. Charr and Ustinov are just avarages which somehow are getting enough attention.
12. Future prospects - Granat, Fury, Kuzmin, Rivas, Wallin, Ugonoh - I think theese are the only guys right now that deserve to be followed. Some suffer'd in their fights, but they are developing for sure and will be in the spotlights someday.

What's your thoughts on Anton Dryuchin 5-0 (5) ? just watched a couple of his fights recently and he looks decent.

 

No Wallin? Otherwise pretty good. Definitely prefer Wallin to Schwarz.....
