    Gotta love this guy.

I think it's actually brilliant for someone like Briggs in his mid 40's to find inspiration in Walcott. I think Shannon realized through Walcott that there is a lot of slick and tricky agile movements you can still use past your athletic prime.

He also posted this right after:

    I like Shannon Briggs.
It's just a shame he's seriously intent on fighting again.
There's got to be space for Briggs in the sport of boxing on the safe side of the ropes, as a promoter or manager, trainer, TV pundit or ring announcer. He can do anything, I just don't think he can fight these days.

I think people are scared to fight him. He can still punch. I hope he fights Haye for the WBA. I think Briggs would win.

Two more clips of him shadow boxing like Walcott.
He really has it down to a tee.

I don't think much of David Haye and seriously doubt his current abilities but I think he'd murder Briggs. Hopefully not literally.

Haye has taken enough abuse from Briggs in the spotlight of mainstream boxing. He'd have fought him by now if he wasn't scared.

Briggs is still a dangerous dude. I think Haye has better physical abilities being younger, but Briggs has the psychological game on lock.

Agreed.... the doubts are hanging over Haye having been away injured for so long and since returning fighting 10th rate opponents wont help, but Briggs would get beaten up and stopped within 3 rounds, its merely a monetary matter why it never happened....Haye gets more for fight lesser class fighters than Briggs its that simple, but its hysterical people talk about him being scared though :ciappa:

Briggs would be a punching bag.
Your theory is flawed. Perhaps you're convinced Wladimir was scared of Briggs too ?

No, but Klitschko is way higher on the totem pole.
Haye took some heavy abuse from Briggs on his home turf.
He even promised Briggs a fight if Briggs won on Haye's undercard.
Haye vs. Briggs is way more reasonable than a Klitschko match.

Yes, Haye might have been fighting "10th rate" opponents, and Haye might be just a washed-up second-rater himself.
But Briggs is a fifth-rater at best. He looked shockingly shot years ago when Vitali beat him up, and he was never an elite fighter even in his prime, which is about 20 years ago now !

I don't think he gets more money for fighting lesser guys. I think he just weighs the risk/reward differently.
Briggs had all of London saying Lets Go Champ. You don't think he's a better draw than Haye's latest opponents?

Plus, there's the pride aspect. Briggs has dragged Haye through the mud on social media.

Also, Briggs is now highly ranked, and may have the WBA belt depending on how the Browne situation is resolved. There is career incentives for this too.

There seems to be a lot of incentive for Haye to wanna knock out Briggs.
What have his excuses been? He seems to run out of them.
