This one might actually be better than Ward-Kovalev, because I think both these fighters will take more risks, and I think Walters might actually force Loma into a firefight. I can't understand how people are still going with a knockout for Loma. I'd actually be surprised if he stopped Walters!

I'd be as well but it'd be awesome if he did (and I think he potentially can) so I'll just pick it.

I'm actually thinking that a stoppage either way is unlikely. But anything can happen.

I think it will wind up being competitive, but that Lomachenko will consistently be doing the better work, where I suspect he will need to earn everything in a workmanlike performance. I think he ultimately be able to raise his game to a higher level than Walters. But Walters skills, reach, and smarts will make Lomachenko work for it.

Don't place too much stock in my mindless speculation. It could wind up being a real stinker, for all I know. But I doubt that.

Yeah, I think this is going to be an interesting clash of styles. Walters is an aggressive fighter but he doesn't do it stupidly, he's methodical with his approach, and has hand speed that shouldn't go unnoticed. Like you, I expect fireworks!!! Do you know if there is an undercard fight, or just a replay of Kovalev-Ward?

I was thinking about the power comparison between donaire and lomachenko also and imo Lomo has more power now. that right hook was very explosive .

Walters has been down several times in his career, Donaire hurt him, Marriaga hurt him, both of them with accurate shots that connected flush, Lomachenko is incredibly accurate and will land flush several times, how much can Walters take before eventually wearing down and getting stopped?

True competitive fights are hard to call.
Its hard to call, Loma is so skilled and talented, its hard to see him losing, but Walters is a top fighter. whoever wins, you cannot take away from the loser. They are both top 10 fighters in their prime.

You can't say people are clutching at straws in regards to Salido, when you're bringing up Donaire to somehow try to convince people Loma is going to knock out Walters because he got shook up in those fights... Both those fights were long ago, both fighters have improved immensely, and this fight will be close.

Walters hasn't improved at all since the Donaire fight, if anything he's regressed. Lomachenko on the other hand is progressively getting better and better with every fight. He was a 1 match pro against a guy who fouled him over 100 times with a ref in his pocket, that was too much too soon, Walters on the other hand has been rocked several times and been down several times, which does point towards a shaky chin, that's not grasping at straws, if you have a shaky whiskers and get caught with enough shots on those shaky whiskers, your ass is going down.

For the record, I'd pick Salido to stop Donaire at FW as well.

Talk about being Pompous... Well see, but this time try to stay cool if it doesn't go the way you predicted. I don't know if I can deal with 2 weeks of tantrums. All due respect.

What's this crap about Walters not having power at SFW... he's fought 10 times at SFW in his career.. almost half his fights damn there.

I think people are downplaying him because of the Sosa fight, but Sosa is a pretty good fighter honestly.

I think it's strange how much a favorite Loma is.. Walters isn't an easy fight at all.
