    Kovalev won:
    - 7 clear rounds, including the KD.
    - 2 close rounds
The remaining rounds were close rounds that one could score for Ward, but potentially Kovalev depending on the way you score. Not a dominant Ward round in the fight.

Ward, without belts or even as the mandatory, got all of the following:
    - judges,
    - referee,
    - money split (is Ward a bigger draw than Kovalev by 5 to 2),
    - tune up fights,
    - dominated and
    - the decision

no, it was a lot closer, 6 for KO4Clev, 4 for Ward, 2 debatable.

But it was a win for sergey. no way can it be unanimous for ward, at best he salvages a draw.

The rematch must happen, so that Ward can either win the belts fairly, or Sergey can show he has made two elite defences to add to his resume.

Why can't a close fight, be just that a close fight that could go either way.

It wasn't that close that you can't pick a winner that is the problem.

I wish I can say this statement was gold, but it was less shiny than that fake gold tooth you have in that putrid mouth of yours.

Good thing about this poll is now I know who not to take seriously. Of course I can not think of one guy in that 25% Wardo cult that I ever did take seriously.

Can't be because I pick Kov, although I could see the argument for Ward winning based on Kov taking his foot off the gas for 1. Also I feel like most, he didn't use bodywork nearly enough. So no instead of replying like a ******. Seriously put some thought into the question. Why do most poster call close fights a robbery?

I'm going to say yes. It was an unfair decision. I watched it from 2 different angles and scored it the same.

The reason robbery is appropriate, even though it was competitive is because:
    1. Sergey dictated most of that fight
    2. Sergey threw more punches
    3. Sergey landed more punches
    4. Sergey was mostly the aggressor
    5. Sergey got a knockdown
    6. Sergeys punches clearly did more damage.
    7. The rounds Sergey won were far clearer than the rounds Ward won.

It was competitive, but very clear. It is a bad enough decision to say it was a robbery.

For me there is 100% a case for both men in this fight...

Therefore I don't think it can be called a robbery...

I watched the fight as a complete neutral and I had Ward winning by 1 but some of the rounds were very tough to call... Looking for single shots to win a round is very unusual

I felt that Ward worked a lot better on the inside than Kovlev and at the end of the fight Kovlevs judgement of range was awful and he was getting tagged by little shots from Ward... Not painful ones but scoring shots all the same... For me Ward looked in control of the fight except for the early rounds... Kovlev just seemed a bit predictable at times with his movement and shot selection, if he has increased his work rate through the later rounds the fight would have been a no-brainier

However I would completely understand anyone who thought Kovlev was in control of the fight as he had the aggression factor and ring generalship...

Would like to see a rematch with neutral judges
