It's top-heavy...and that's being kind of generous. The lower echelon of the top 10 isn't all that great. In stronger eras, Briggs wouldn't be able to contend.

Well, Haye is totally redundant and he's 35. Thats a guy who was a champ in the K era not long ago , who now wants nothing to do with a 90's era guy 10 year older than him.
I'd say its slightly better than the last 15 years. A lot better if Fury was still in the mix.

    Wow. Slum appeal? Really?
If you look back in history, there has been many examples of loud, self promoters. Tactics? Fuelling a bit of public interest to get a bit of hype going is no different than any other fighter and promoter out there. Briggs just does it his way. I suppose you prefer the robot like press conferences than Wlad attends?

Get over yourself, with your toff-like attitude.

This public announcement comes to you from a University educated professional.

The only one that doesn't know what he's talking about is you.

Briggs looks absolutely horrific against any opponent that isn't a complete bum. Showing "speed" and "power" shadow boxing or trouncing tomato cans means nothing. Look at him against old Vitali. He looked like a geriatric. Slow as molasses in january and no reflexes or timing at all. And that was 10 YEARS ago. He has no business being in a ring.

Was Briggs even relevant when Bad Boys 2 came out?

Wow! You're a University educated professional Briggs fan? How could you possibly justify brigg's impudence? Has he done anything noteworthy in the last 5 years? And starving doesn't count.I would most certainly rather attend a civilized press conference with an opportunity to see how a sophisticated athlete carries himself.
I'll take cordial tact over urban abrasiveness every time.

Im not sure you really understand boxing because if you look at how he is fighting now well to say he cant k.o a Pulev who is ranked top 10 or anyone really if he lands shows otherwise. did you see Ortiz last fight? are you going to write off Ortiz now as well? I understand he is not Briggs who lost to Lewis or Klitchko but based on his last fights hes still dangerous and there is no Lewis or vitali around anymore and if you favored Browne over him well you would have lost on that pick as well.

Briggs had no left arm in that fight after blowing out his bicep in round one. Unlike Vitali he didn't quit on his stool in round 4. And Vitali was a banger . Byrd was a feather duster.

Last minute rally against White Wolf revitalized his career... Unfortunately.

He's not. He kept himself in the spotlight by stalking any HW who could get him a pay day.

He's not. This was just an attempt to get that clown Browne an easy belt.
