Calling walters elite is beyond going overboard. having good power does not = elite, and now we know for a fact anyone who was calling him elite was completely talking out of their ASS..

I knew he wasn't ever capable of ever becoming an elite fighter (only special talents have a shot at becoming elite) , when he fought Sosa last year sometime or couple years ago, that was a even Steven fight and draw was the right call.

Any fighter that has even a slither of a chance at reaching the elite level of the pro fight game couldn't ever struggle so terribly with a Sosa level journeyman .

All the phrases get thrown around so much non mean anything anymore .
ATG , greats and bums get used daily on here when they should be reserved for fighters that fight the description and or criteria

 

he didn't do anything in rounds 1 and 3. if you know how to count that leaves 5 more rounds

Well, Walters showed a lot of guts until the end of the fight. You have to be a very tough man to get outclassed like that and keep trying to fight. That has to count for something. Walters also showed GREAT durability in taking these punches. You have to look at the intangibles in a fight. How often you get hit, how good you are at taking a punch, and how tenacious you are to keep trying to land punches that hit nothing but air.

 

Hey man! I had it 115-112 for Kovalev first time. Rewatched it and had it 114-113. Could see a case for 114-113 Ward if you gave him the 3rd and 12th. How did you have it?

 

Given how short (albeit already storied) his career has been so far, he's doing quite well. But you're right, he deserves way way more, because he's freaking Vasyl Lomachenko.
