People are getting a little besides themselves. Lomachenko is good. He hasn't fought any semblance of an elite boxer though. It's a big step up from midgets, and crudish, unathletic plodders to a skilled boxer like Crawford.
Crawford has 2 inches height and 4.5 inches reach advantage on Loma. He actually fights the style, combined with size, that can defeat Lomachenko. Two divisions separate them; don't hold your breath.
Loma is like 5"5 1/2 isn't he? The guy could probably make 122 if he wanted to, only moved up for big fights. Crawford was probably the biggest lightweight ever. There is a huge disparity in size.
I think Crawford too big for him. Crawford a natural 147 fighter imo draining to 140. Even Mikey Garcia should be fighting at 147, he has beastly power and would possibly ko loma with one shot. Maybe meet at 138, if Crawford ain't draining already to get to 140 he should make 135 easy. Gamboa would be a great test, stick to 135.
They have him listed as 5'7 on boxrec. And if he made 122 he'd be a corpse and would probably get KTFO..
Crawford is too big. I'm pretty sure he'll never campaign again professionally under 140 lbs. I'd love to see Lomachenko against Manny at 135 lbs if Manny thinks he can make the weight comfortably. If not, I'd love to see him fight Mikey Garcia late next year after Mikey gets a few more fights under his belt.
Honestly, Crawford is too big at this moment. Lomachenko's not even a 135 lber and we're talking about those fights, and I think even in that division there's some fighters who look really quite a lot bigger than him. Now we're talking about a guy who's big at 140 and will probably move up soon.
Man, I think Crawford is a little too big for Loma. taller, lankier, much longer reach without actually checking the measurements. I think Crawford would wreck him.
I don't think he should fk with Crawford. Crawford is a little to big and while Loma is a master of the southpaw stance, Crawford is no slouch there himself. There is a good chance of Loma going to sleep.
