see that's interesting, didn't know he was a redhead.

butterbean surly gets a mention for going the distance with old atg, if vitali gets in for not managing halfway against an atg.

there are too many sHWs missing. why on earth is an undisputed hw champion like carnera not here when people who only won a bitpart title are?

    Ali
    Holmes
    Holyfield
    Foreman
    Tyson

    Lewis
    Bowe
    V.Klitschko

You can pretty much put your favorite big HW at 10. Im going with Tua just for shlts and giggles.

Louis, Marciano, and Frazier were too small I guess?

I suppose the comeback version who was 250+ makes the mark. But in the 70's he was around 6'3", 220. Not really super heavy numbers by modern day standards.

Well you said of all time but have current fighters on your list.

You forgot Douglas /Ruddock, T.Morrison ,cooneyand Tucker, if you are including Bruno ? I would still include wlad since he has a solid legacy,he is the exception and Tyson wasn't a true SHW which I consider 225 as the starting point. I am using the head to head comparison here and trying to use legit SHW's who dominated also at least who I think brought something to the table.

    In order.

    1/ V.Klitchko
    2/ Lewis
    3/ W.Klitchko
    4/ Bowe
    5/ Ruddock
    6/ Tucker
    7/ Douglas
    8/ Morrison
    9/ Foreman
    10/ Cooney

I treated him as being the absolute upper limit of what is not a superheavyweight.

If you disagree, then he would sit very high up the list.

Since we're adding Foreman in, he comes in second, IMO. He just makes the list, given the dimensions listed above. I've always viewed him a shade taller than Ali, even though both are often listed at 6'3".
    .
Lennox Lewis: He has it all.
George Foreman: If he ever learned to pace himself as a younger man, he'd never have lost.
Wladimir Klitschko: The most fundamentally correct heavyweight since Joe Louis
Vitali Klitschko: So many are reluctant to give Vitali his due but, though he wasn't the most exciting, there aren't too many Supers who were better.
    .
Joshua, Fury and Wilder are still active and prime. I think Wilder might finish up higher of the three but it's too soon to tell.
    .
Riddick Bowe should be on this list. He ranks at or near the bottom of the top 10. He fell considerably short of his potential because he was too lazy and undisciplined. And I doubt anyone will ever convince me that he wasn't afraid of Lennox Lewis. Manny Steward said that Lennox, usually a very nice and professional man, had a very nasty hatred toward Bowe. ..............I believe Bowe was wise to avoid Lennox or he would have gotten seriously hurt.

I'd define shw as a fighter at least 6'4 225. As such, id rank them in this order:
    1. Lewis
    2. V Klitschko
    3. W Klitschko
    4. Bowe
    5. Tyson Fury
    6. Jess Willard
    7. Wilder
    8. Carnera
    9. Joshua
    10. Valuev
Obviously the active fighters could move up or down depending on career. Honorable mention for buddy Baer and Tony Tucker

SHW would probably be someone over 230 pounds.

Cba making a list. But people putting height restrictions on a weight class seems a bit strange to me now.

I think I used to consider height as well but thinking about it that doesn't make sense.

If it was an actual weight class then you'd just use the weight, but shw is more a term of art for giant hw's, in both height and weight. At least that's how I use it, and alot of others. To each their own, though

Yeah for me the height has never been the issue in boxing. That's why they have weight classes.

Fury has won the lineal title, and that in itself is enough to put him somewhere on the list. You do have to wonder however, if he will regain enough form to gain significant additional wins. If he never makes an effective comeback, then we are left with a bit of an enigma.

I am very impressed by Joshua, and am expecting him to take over the division at some point. At this stage however, he has done very little on paper.

My hunch with Wilder is that he has serious durability issues, and that his people are aware of this. I can see no other explanation for the way that he has been matched. Even so, there are plenty of opportunities for him to capitalize upon.
