Yeah, before the fight Walters was viewed as generally an elite level guy verging on p4p 10, if he beat Loma he definitely would have been there, probably around 6-7.

But now Loma made him look so **** that people can kinda forget that he had really high rep before the fight and I can't really blame em. You make a good point there lol.

And I agree, I'd like to see the Salido rematch as well, sure it's pedantic and perhaps somewhat of a formality but I think it'd do well for his own confidence (not that he's lacking any, he's already very confident but if any trace of that fight lingers in his mind at all) and just to shut up current and future critics.

Agree re: Salido rematch, but I'm not sure it would stop the trolls. They'd point out he was past his peak... blah, blah, blah.

But good vid Rummy, as always....

Nah. Lacy did better against Calzaghe than Walters did against Lomachenko. And Lacy never had any legit wins like Walters had.

    Advantage Lomachenko.

I agree. I just use Lacy as a euphemism now for any fighter that is thoroughly outclassed in a fight that on paper is supposed to be competitive. Walter's clearly has a more accomplished resume than the overhyped Left Hook had.

The Salido rematch MUST happen in 2017. I can see Lomo carrying Salido in the end just to punish him with a brutal KO in the final round.

Lomo is the type of boxer who only comes around once or twice in our lifetime. The kid takes on stiff competition, ducks no one and even bends to gets the fights he and we as fans want to see.

    Nice summary Rummy

Boxnation noticed something odd about Walters before the fight, during the walk. (I think Loma beats any version of Walters.) I didn't think much of Boxnation's comments but considering the "no mas", I wonder what kind of emotional state Walters was in to fight?

    Good recap Rummy.

Have you checked out Usyk-Glowacki yet? If you're impressed by Loma I think you'll love Usyk as well, he's basically a CW, and eventually a HW version of Loma, and yes he's that fast, slick, accurate and overall dynamic for a massive 6'3 guy.

Love the videos Rummy. Pick up a voice recording microphone from ebay, decent used ones go for $30-$40, when you have a chance. It will increase the spoken audio quality massively and eliminate much of the echo you hear. Thanks for making these vids, love them!

    Great recap, Rummy.

Exciting but yesterday was not very entertaining because Lomachenko literally took all of Walters' punches away from him and Walters felt truly paralytic. I also agree that we need to see Lomachenko-Salido 2. That should be next.

Lomachenko looked like some DC character in there yesterday night.
