Boxing fans criticising Haye v Bellew !?

I am sick of boxing fans on here criticising fights like this. It's a fun fight and will have an intriguing build up and war of words. Both fighters will be going in there to knock the other guy out, and that's the recipe for a great fight!

Fans call for the exciting fights to be made and manage to find ways to moan when they are !!

This is especially relevant to UK fans criticising the fight!

 

"fun build up" this isn't wrestling or a gimmick show, it's professional fighting. We want competitive fights like say Bellew against his mandatory or literally anyone else in the top 10-12 of his weight division. Or David Haye against anyone in a similar ranking in the HW scene.

What we've got here is a bull**** cash grab where neither fighter's rep is in any kind of harm.

 

Is boxing not meant to be entertaining??

 

Sport is a competition first. Fictional tv shows are built for entertainment.

 

I agree. But is there not the possibility a boxing match could be both competitive AND entertaining?

I believe this fight will be exactly that.

 

Disagree here. If Haye loses his rep is destroyed and his career over. He has far, far, more on the line then Bellew, who is basically freerolling the fight.

 

You honestly give Bellew even a puncher's chance? He'll come in fat as hell and get countered when swinging wildly, then they'll be best pals after the fight.

 

Put it this way, the people who are complaining that it's happening are the same people who would complain if the fight didn't happen.

Eddie Hearn can provide for the fans, the braodcaster, the fighters but he will never appease his haters. They have already decided to **** on anything he's going to do.

I agree. Hate campaign against Hearn who I believe makes good fights.. even if it is all about the ££$$ for him.

 

Exactly. Look where boxing was in the UK 5 years ago, and look where it is now. And it's gonna get better because Matchroom dominance has forced Frank Warren to raise his game too.

 

Well, technically true but by that logic Haye - De Mori could have been classed as competitive on paper

 

I'm worried that there are people that call themselves "boxing fans" that aren't criticizing it.

It's boxing, not WWE.

 

If Haye wanted to be in a"Fun" fight why did he not fight "Lets go champ" as he promised ? The guy (Haye) is a joke & Bellew is right when he says keep out of the night clubs , Haye was a good fighter ,now a joke!
