Were you excited about Floyd back then?

Would/Did you talk about him on forums (assuming they existed back then)

I don't get some of you guys it's like you want to dictate who people post about

I would rather see 10 positive posts about fighter X, even if there's a little hyperbole in there, rather than 10,000 negative ones about fighter G

Amateurs are more multifaceted than what you are saying - more specifically, Lomachenko's game is more multifaceted than that. His competitive advantage is not from his speed, angles etc. but his ability to set and enact his game over the number of rounds given to him. 3/5 rounders, stretching it to 12 rounds is a big difference for a fighter like Lomachenko. Pacing strategy will be off. We saw him make a rookie misunderstanding at the Loma-Salido fight, he wasn't punching much at all. He looked more like Besputin than his current self.
This in short, is a quasi-Loma.

Salido is better than Maidana, without a shadow of a doubt.
His losses were to Gamboa, Mikey and Marquez. No shame in that. He won the last 5 rounds against Marquez, was starting to tag Mikey more regualrly before Mikey quit the fight on a broken nose, he dropped Gamboa.
Salido gets dropped but never hurt - he was only hurt against Lomachenko.
His work over the last 5-6 years has been very good.

It's a big difference from being the king of 4 rds of amateur boxing to go 12 rds of pro boxing, Loma did 12 rds in his second pro fight, May and Pac couldn't have done that either so don't say that they would beat Salido anytime in their career.

Not to mention, no amount of amateur fighting is going to prepare you for the tactics Salido employs. Having no 12 round experience is one thing- acquiring it on the job against a rugged, dirty fighter when you've never fought one before is the icing on the cake.

When they were 27yo they could have done 100 rounds and broken Salido's skull, Floyd would annihilate Salido now and he's a 40yo retired old man

Now your just making excuses, fighting since he was a toddler and 400 fights and he still can't handle being manhandled.

Floyd would have beat the brakes off Salido

People comparing Olympic and professional boxing should stop, it's just plain ignorance. For starters, one is for country and the other is for money. Referees for Olympic boxing protect fighters more than their counterparts for price fighting. The number of rounds and time is also very different and that's just the tip.

Maidana doesn't have 14 losses on his resume last I checked. 2 Salido was floored 4 times in that Garcia fight before Salido head butted him and broke his nose lmao. To sit here and say Salido has only been hurt by Lomachenko in a fight he won is asinine. Also in Salidos 14 losses he's been KOed 6 or 7 times. I like Loma but please. This **** is getting ridiculous lmao.

Oh and sorry I exposed your little agenda of trying to pump Salido. Guys like Robert Guerro were able to expose him as well but continue playing make believe.

We can argue about this forever but it's pointless since it's pretty obvious that you have no idea what you're talking about and only watch boxing because you have a crush on Floyd.

Two different sides of the sport with different rules. You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone that claims amateur boxing is either the more glamorous or challenging sport.

By the age of 28 May and Pac were the far more successful professional boxers and that should be clear as day.
