Lomachenko is a scary guy. Once he's feeled you out, he has a response to anything you do, you don't get away with any given thing scot-free. He adjusts to you increasingly over the course of a fight. He's truly like water.
Corrales is better than Walters but the Corrales that Floyd beat (pointless, very drained ghost) is undoubtedly worse than Walters. It was a detonation by Floyd, regardless. He would've still schooled a healthy Corrales but, he didn't. With that said, you could see what Floyd was doing, it was easily understandable, but Lomachenko does things that are so hard to grasp, and does things that just cannot be taught. The point about Floyd's aggressiveness is an important one you're making. This is an awful idea for anyone fighting Lomachenko unless you're going to go all out like a Maidana/Salido. It's no mans land. You're either here or there, choose one option. Lomachenko is ready to punish you.
Loma is still growing as a fighter and at a rapid pace so to say he COULD potentially be better at 130 then PBF is a possibility, right now though looking at the two Mayweather would be too strong and too fast for Loma to deal with at this point in time. The skill level I'd give a slight edge to Loma because right now at 28 he's probably a bit more skilled than a still raw Floyd but the gap in athleticism and power at the weight I think is larger and makes up for it. Loma had a good showing vs Walters but Nick isn't as good as the top level guys Floyd fought at 130, at this point there is no reason to think Loma would win especially easily. Now in a year or 2 we can revisit this question, but right now PBF>Loma
Are you talking boxing are or you just reveling in the skills of Loma because you don't give any basis for your statement. One, you must know, Walters is no Mayweather by any stretch of imagination, as a matter of fact Loma hasn't faced a fighter with remotely the skills of Mayweather. At 130 Mayweather's speed would embarrass Loma. I believe that it is Loma who would have had trouble with the speed of Mayweather. That right hand was lightening and with a 72 inch reach, I don't think that Loma could have stopped it. That would have set up the rest of his arsenal like that dazzling left hook coming from no where. Here's another thing, Mayweather could crack at 130. I could go on but I only want to point out that there is nobody that Mayweather takes a back seat to and that includes Loma.
I feel like PBF deserves to be mentioned as the favourite for carving out arguably the GOAT resume at 130, whereas Loma has only fought one elite name at 130 and is still yet to be at his very best + is yet to fight more top, proven names. But, because Floyd didn't beat any HOF'ers at 130 let alone ATG's, and Lomachenko has at least beaten an elite fighter, this conversation is warranted although a little premature. I said 10 times already Loma is better than Mayweather and would beat him BUT Mayweather wouldn't have agreed to fight him anyway. Once Loma unifies at 130, people will have a clearer picture. Until then, just enjoy Loma and don't get mad at the increasing number of people who believe Loma would've beaten Floyd.
I terms of sheer skill Loma stands alone in this respect Floyd would of just got outskilled by Loma Loma is a exceptional talent Mayweather was a very good talent big difference
You made some good and valid points and I just wanna add this, Loma is not a baby in the fight game. He has close to or more than 400 fights under his belt. He has honed those southpaw skills to a fine point because he is a student of the game. He has faced all types and calibers and he presided at the elite level of that amateur program for years. There are a great deal of pro level fighters in that amateur program. He was ready when he got here and he knew it. It was the mental attitude that he was lacking and Salido introduced him to that. He is now mentally hard. He may learn a few tricks but his skills are top flight and I don't see much room for improving in that area. That's just my opinion and I could be missing something.
