Yeah, remembering it was both now. But at same time in same circumstances. Shouldn't really count as a genuine kd though, since his balance was badly effected by the injuries that led him to pull out of fight, and was never kd'd as a pro in any other circumstance. Also, McCall had an uncredited kd by akinwande
He said he wouldn't comment while dropping hints he did drop him. Sparring partners aren't supposed to talk about that stuff publicly, so it seems likely it happened.
I wasn't aware they started counting when a KD happens in sparring. are they going to eventually impact resumes from sparring ? Was it the full 10 count , 8 count or was it halted immediately from AJ being in pac's borrowed coma ?
Really I watched that video and got the impression it didn't happen, he wouldn't give a yes or no answer but said he's enjoying the attention he's got from this rumour by lots of people asking him on social media. He goes on to say it's nice that people "think" I have the power to knock out someone like Anthony Joshua. I think this kid is just riding that wave because once he admits it never happened then people will lose interest in him.
Says you! If it's a stoppage punch, it means something and can effect a fighter mentally. Likely they were using heavy 16 oz gloves in the sparring session, which make a stoppage even harder. Joshua was rocked a bit in the one fight where he was hit. He does not have a good chin, and better learn how to protect it.
He obviously answered in the correct way, since some of us were left with the impression it happened and some of us got the impression it didn't. I'd leaned towards an interpretation that he was saying: It would be wrong to say it happened but it did happen, but besides that, I'm glad people believe it did even though I can't say it did. Both are valid.
He made it crystal clear it's a rumor, never happened . he had no idea how it could start (he would know where and when he ko'd the hw champ) no idea where it could had started AND him being "close" to Aj, IF it did happen he would be a true man and make sure people understand it did NOT happen . Being as its Bull**** , he knows AJ doesn't give a crappie what rumors are out there so Lawrence can play the game which is exactly what he's doing. Or it did happen and he just played the card to make it seem like it actually is just a rumor, was I just played ?
Is this kid actually any good anyway? Never heard of him but I don't follow the amateur scene like some poeple here do.
european champ, knocked out in seconds by savon in wsb who beat joshua in the Olympics, pretty decent fighter but doesn't have alot of fights
