Resumes play a part in it to. If that's the case Usyk would be on this list, he's more skilled than GGG.

He's probably the frontrunner. Because the guys skills are incredible! He has all the punches all the technique and power.

And for Christ's sake examine that man's chin! The man's chin is not a human chin. Its a piece of iron.

If it's a lot to do with perceived H2H ability then Lomachenko must be P4P no.1 but hey, he's there on number 6.
It's easier to perceive that you're the best when you're against C graders.

The win over Brook should have no weight to it, it was a shameful fight. Shame on GGG for taking that fight, he shouldn't be defended by anyone for that.

It was pretty impressive though as a display of power and toughness. The way Golvokin just ate Brooks shots. How does a flush bomb has completely zero effect on you? And he had Brook Keeling over from a single punch.

I'd put him at #5, behind Roman, Ward, Kova and Loma.

You rate fighters one way others (Ring Magazine) rates them differently. This sums up things well.

8 of Golovkins last 10 opponents have been bigger then him.
he fought 7 official ranked top 10 middleweights in the world, 4 former belt holders 2 regular champions and he knocked out 18 opponents that have never been knocked out before. Not to mention great fighters such as Ward and Froch have said that GGG is a fearsome opponent and a great fighter for whatever that counts. But yeah just cuz you think a fighter is A B or C level fighter doesn't actually mean they are.

    He should be above Kovalev.

Who has Kova beaten apart from an ancient bhop?

Pound for pound he has greater power than kov.

He's also 10 times better at cutting a ring off.

Who has GGG beaten? Kovalev's resume is 100000 light years better than GGG's.

Some of the most skilled fighters never make it to the top. Some never make it to the pro ranks. You can't remove resumes from assessing P4P, because skills without results don't count for a lot. Surely to register in anyone's P4P ranking you have to display ability and application? GGG has the skills but they've never properly been tested. And that's shown by his relatively weak resume. Resumes count, period.

Against fighters with their feet in clay. He didn't fancy testing that against Ward, but Kovalev did. There's a direct comparison...

That's a magazine that employs Stephen A Smith's twin, ie Doug Fischer. The guy is a whiny forum fan boy. I would not be surprised if he had alts here.

If that is true, he wouldn't be in the top 10 for sure. P4P Brook is a better fighter than GGG, he has the better boxing skills as proven in their fight. GGG won on attrition/physical attributes.
