Conor McGregor drew twice (nearly triple) as many buys in 2016 than the entire sport of boxing

Your moving the goalposts. People knew what Floyd was like way before he fought Pacquiao. Again one has to ask if he was so bad and a guy nobody wanted to see why did he draw near a mil twice v Maidana? Maidana a guy who never fought on ppv before and Floyd draws near 2 mil buys vs him.

Why did May start a rumour about wanting to fight him then?

Because many actually thought that Floyd lost and wanted to see the rematch?

How come he did his worst numbers since 2006 (when he fought Berto) after doing his best ever numbers against Manny?

The numbers were near enough the same for both Maidana fights don't think that had anything to do with it.

As I said it was Andre Berto. A fighter who beat nobody before facing Floyd. Of course the Pacquiao fight and it being a let down to many didn't help (Pacquiao is just as much to blame) but the main reason was it was Berto.

When he fought Maidana, Maidana came off the big win v Broner. Guerrero beat Berto.

Berto beat nobody and it was a fight nobody wanted to see.

Victor Ortiz was never a draw, nor was RG - so don't try that "It was Berto" line, when his numbers dropped because he STUNK OUT the joint against Manny (and Manny was just as bad, but at least tried to press the action).

So, by your logic, had Floyd had a trilogy with MM he'd have done more than 400k regardless of his Manny fight being poor?

But according to your logic Guerrero done big numbers because he beat Berto, which means Berto is a draw. So explain why Floyd - of all people - drew so badly against him?

How does it mean that? When Guerrero beat berto, berto had a far higher stock than when he fought Floyd.

Point is Guerrero beat berto to become the champion before he fought Mayweather.

Berto beat nobody before he fought Floyd.

Well after Floyd beat Maidana twice of course a third fight v Maidana wouldn't of done much as the fight would of been pointless.

Well you just stead that Guerrero was a draw because he beat Berto. If you become a draw AFTER you beat a person, then that person was a draw. Next you'll be saying that RG was some kinda draw BEFORE he beat Berto.

    Which is it?

Just baffles me that the usual Floyd nuthuggers still think that 400k buys is a result when he did THREE MILLION in the previous fight, 4 months beforehand. Yet they won't admit to it that that fight nearly killed the sport.

I bet you anything that even Floyd was disappointed in doing 400k. He never did that for YEARS and now he's back there after doing THREE MILLION a few months previous? That's what milking the fans gets you I'm afraid.

I never said RG was a draw. I said a fight vs RG is a lot easier to sell than the berto fight was simply cos RG had more stock.

I also said 400k was lower than expected but in no way believing if Floyd didn't retire and kept fighting that number would be the ceiling. Fights vs a Garcia, Thurman or a brook would draw higher numbers simply cos they are credible opponents.

More stock as a paper champion, perhaps. Or a blown up WW.

Why wouldn't it be the ceiling? Floyd had every chance (as did Manny) to really put that rivalry to bed, and to put it to bed in style. And it never happened.

Try to understand that that fight put many people off of Boxing. An untold amount. Floyd's numbers with Berto weren't low because it was just Berto, they were low because people finally woke up to the fact that they were being strung along by Floyd for years. Look at Manny's reputation now - nobody cares who he fights, when he fights and if he fights. Had that fight been a war or a STUPIDLY one-sided masterclass or a quit job, the winner would have done IMMENSE numbers in their next fight as they would have GAINED MILLIONS of fans. Instead, they LOST MILLIONS of fans.

He'll never fight Thurman, Porter, Bradley, Brook, GGG etc - and he's had every chance to do so. He'll try and rematch Manny (pointless fight), get CM under Boxing rules (even more pointless than the Manny fight!), avoid GGG and let the WW Division wear themselves out. That's what will eventually happen.

Why would they when his last fight didn't even crack half a million? Remember, he is THE biggest draw in Boxing.

To do numbers like that shows that your time has passed. How can you not see that?

How do you know that's not an old photo? And what are Floyd's "investments"? He's full of it, always has been and always will be.

The hate is real. Since when should an athlete need to show the public what they have invested there money in?

Do you ask the same for Ronaldo, Messi, Usain Bolt, Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton or is your hate just for Mayweather?
