This weekend sees Richard Commey get a chance to earn a rematch with Robert Easter Jr by facing off against Denis Shafikov.

    Who wins?

I don't understand why Boxnation do not pick up fights like this. It has the potential to be a great fight.

I agree, I enjoy watching Commey in the ring - he brings great action. This is tomorrow night and Boxnation haven't got anything scheduled so it is a bit of a surprise.

Ah interesting. I'm leaning towards Shafikov on points. I think Shafikov being a southpaw and the fight taking place in Russia shapes my prediction. Hope for a good fight either way.

Does it clash with the Saunders card I wonder?

No I think this is on Friday.

The Lebedev-Gassiev card might though. Suprised Sky Sports didn't pick that up to give exposure for a possible Bellew opponent.

No. It was Akavov who pulled out last week because he didn't complete some paperwork or some ****. It's rescheduled for this week.

Okay. Now I have to go research Avakov on who he is and if he's any good.

With the fight being in Russia that makes it hard to pick against Shafikov, still I'd pick Commey here.

If Commey wins that could set up a rematch with Easter which would be nice.

Shafikov is entertaining, but I think Commey is better. Hopefully there's no hometown shenanigans.

Really looking forward to this one, both guys are relentless and tough as nails, Commey has the size and probably power but I think Shafikovs a tricky fucker with volume and a fair degree of accuracy and pop. I think Denis' greater experience and the Southpaw stance steals the day. Shafikov UD.
