God I cannot stand that junkie! He spent the last 3 years pleading for a shot against Berridge.
Then when he finally got his chance he threw about 10 punches, spent the entire fight hitting high scores on his fitbit and then cried when he lost.

He should stick to selling crack.

Joseph Parker's world title against Andy Ruiz fight has been confirmed for Auckland.

The fight will be held indoors at Vector Arena.

A good undercard taking shape. With Jeff Horn and Izu Ugonoh both on board.

Apparently the cost to put this show on will be at least $4million.

By comparison the Carlos Takam card cost $2.2m to stage.

Izu Ugonoh is about to sign with a rival promoter and now unlikely to fight on the Parker vs Ruiz undercard.

 

Apparently he's signed with Al Haymon ...

I wonder what Haymon's plans are for him, seeing that Wilder is Al's prize HW. Will Haymon will be able to / care enough to get him some decent fights? I personally think he has the talent to win a belt, given the right opportunities.

 

Excellent news!!! Barry was simply holding Izu back. Personally, I see more in Izu than I do in Parker

 

Izu still has Barry as his coach and co-manager.

I think Duco is probably more of a hold back than Barry, same goes for Parker. I haven't seen anything to suggest Barry is doing any bad for either of them?!

What I like about Kevin Barry is that he strikes me as a guy who likes to tell it as it is. Watching Izus last fight, I knew he couldnt keep fighting under Joes shadow. Izus a star attraction himself and has a kiwi fan base, particular among the Parker fans. Team Parker was always about Joe though, its now time for Team Izu.
