I think his chin was tested enough by Takam to suggest he is at least far from packing glass, combined that with gassing and recovering from both to take the later rounds he's qualified at the "gone to a fairly dark place and pulled through" game, imho.
I agree with your earlier post that Barry has bought Parker along patiently and varied his opponents cleverly. From it Parker has learned he needs to get himself fitter. But equally importantly, he has learned he can take a punch, recover and win.
He is that bad. This will be a very easy, dominant win for Parker. Parker has beaten better fighters already.
To be fair it's all conjecture on all sides, but it's fun to discuss - especially if it doesn't go stupid. Bring on next weekenday, lots of questions will be answered about both guys!
I agree it is close to a 50/50 fight, but favour Parker provided he fights smart and uses his jab to best advantage.
Yeah I don't see this as a 50/50 fight either. Parker is the clear favourite, if Ruiz Jr does win it's a big upset for me. Sure Parker struggled with Takam but Ruiz Jr struggled to look good against a shot to hell Liakhovich and Hamer was giving him all he could handle before quitting as well. They're on different levels at the moment.
Maybe, but not without a fight! Ruiz is primed for this moment, Parker better be ready, this won't be easy!
