I love Shafikov's aggression and bet him as a -160 favorite over Commey, especially at home in Russia. The crowd and the judges may be on his side if it goes to a decision. I took advantage of the peak of the odds and bet Murat Gassiev as a +170 underdog due to his size and power against Denis Lebedev.
Shaf by stoppage. A wickedly talented little guy who's really only lost against two opponents whom both had large size advantages on him. Commey isn't quite as large, or as intelligent in the ring as Rances or Vasquez. Commey gets hit way too much. Coming from someone who had money on Commey over Easter, to clarify.
I'm not sure if I'm an outlier on here but I could make a case for Shafikov edging it against Rances or possibly a draw. For the me the only clear L was Titere, but on a good night Vasquez is almost as impossible to beat as he is to watch.
I agree, I think the Rances fight was far closer than it's spoken of currently (for whatever reason) Rances is no less difficult to look good against as the likes of Lara. A huge pain in the ass. Shafikov edged it or damn close on my card, if I'm remembering correctly.
Too bad African fighters have poor management and have to go to bum-fuc Russia to be robbed and having to face Russian opponents roid'ed to the gills. You could see the steroids leaking from Shfikov's pores.
