Gassiev still has work to do but he did great in there. He "no sold" those punches like it was WWE fake punches. Only slightly bothered once. Lebedev tried to use volume to win but was taking too much damage imo.

In yesterday's fight Gassiev proved that he is the real deal, that his chin is good(Lebedev's punch in round 10 would have knocked almost all present cruiser weights out IMO) and that he can punch like a mule.Furthermore he also proved that he can go 12 rounds and that he is mentally up for a brutal 12 round wars with true elite fighters.Hail the new king! He should avoid Usyk but apart from the outstanding and exceptional Ukranian I cant really see anyone who can beat him at cruiser weight.

It's shame that the WBA belt was not on the line. I wouldn't mind a rematch with the WBA also on the line. If they can't get the rematch, then someone like Vlasov would be a solid first defence,

Definitely Tough ******* this Gassiev and exciting fighter to watch. IMO still lot to learn with him but he is relatively young for being Cruiser champ so he has time. Great win last night for him.

You clearly aren't thinking because you're wrong. Gassiev lost the first 2 rounds against Lebedev because he tends to start out slow as well. Some of the work he needs to do.

Then stop bitching like a woman then. Your opinion is an opinion not a fact and the point is moot since it ended in a no contest and likely Gassiev was going to eventually win.

Did anyone check out the spots all over Gassievs forehead,English commentators thought Lebedev done enough but conceded the rounds were as you like em?

Gassiev took some good shots, too.Especially that big one in round 10.Well,Gassiev proved that he can take a good punch. And as we all know Lebedev has pop in his fists.
Gassiev is the real deal but he still has to learn one or two things.Thats for sure! He is still a work in progress.
As long as he avoids Usyk and wont move up to the heavy weights he will rule the roost for a very long time

Apparently he's moving to HW, he's having trouble making 200 lb

Gassiev is only 23 and the only guy at CW who gives him problems is Usyk... He's massive for the weight class though, eventually he's probably going to have to make the move to HW.
