In a boxing match. Boxers from 147-154. Id say he probably doesnt stand a chance against any top tier boxer. But does he beat anyone in the top ten? Hed do better against brawlers id say. Floyd wipes the floor with him.
And... this might just be me but I'm kinda getting tired of all these Connor McDougall (or whatever his name is) threads regarding how he would do against this, that and the other boxer. All he's done in boxing so far is get a license, and in reality it's not a boxing license at all, it's a UFC bargaining chip and a slice of cheap publicity. Until he's set a date for his debut bout, I'm hoping these threads go where thy belong... in the MMA section.
There's so much more to boxing than being able to throw a good punch and have natural instinct for things like movement, timing, ability to take a punch, power (talented). In order to compete with the higher level opponents i.e good journeymen at the pro ranks: 1. Build a stamina that's adjusted for 12 rounds 2. Form a great point scoring strategy, learning how to incorporate the boxing scoring criteria 3. Make sure your point scoring strategy incorporates setting up great shots, and decent scoring punches each round 4. Learning how to use your punches in a multi-faceted manner i.e the jab for example has over 10 legit uses. 5. Learning how to ultilise footwork and make it consistent with your style. 6. Study opponents and study the greats of old 7. Adjust your PED regime towards the drugs testing used by boxing doping organisations 8. Get the right sparring partners to prepare you for a fight 9. Get with the trainer that's the right fit for you If you're lacking in any of these, what on earth are you doing?
