He's like a strongman who's trying out boxing for the first time. I wouldn't believe he won an olympic gold if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

His style was never going to age well.

I'm more surprised that his success came in the Olympics and not the pros. Guys like him tend to go pro young, have some success, then flame out early.

These cards are awesome. Unlike the spoon-fed cards you get a lot of time here in the states, you can always bet on one or two upsets, fan friendly wars, and a whole slew of knockouts. Heck, I'd throw some cash down for an official HD stream here if they ever set one up. These are the kinds of cards that U.S. boxing needs more of.

Vlasov would murder Bellew. Very accurate and damaging puncher.

Lebedev fanboys crying right now. Yes, there are a lot of them out there.

I'll have to go back and rewatch this.

Awesome fight card!! Great main fight, very brutal and intensive! And a quite close fight it was, too.Could have really gone either way.I scored the fight for Gassiv who proved that he is the real deal, but I rooted for Lebedev, the old and likeable vet.A pity that he couldnt take Gassiev out of action in round 10 when Gassiev was visibly hurt for 2-3 seconds.
Gassive will rule the roost for a very long time to come as long as he avoids Usyk.

"Where" you ask?! Continue reading your own post. Thank you.

I've put up with Lebedev fans on this site complaining and mocking and threatening me going back 5 years, so you will get no apologies from me. His fans suck. Not Hopkins-level, but somehow for the cool dude he is his fanbase are actually some vile and foolish peops out there. Perhaps your experiences with them are different, but that's my story for as long as Lebedev's been discussed.

I hear it was a great fight, still need to catch it. Still looking to do so here soon.

Someone posted the Hd link on YouTube so I just casted it onto my tv. Great card, like you said you got everything you got a war, upsets, knockouts. The only card that I can compare this too was the other card where the Nigerians upset the two Russians with early kos.

I agree with you it was a great close fight, both men showed great heart I think lebedev deserved to keep his belt but Gassiev was also a worthy winner.

For me gassiev is still very raw he doesn't throw any combinations, he will struggle with movers big time. He has a good base though, in terms of his natural strength. Usyk schools him

I wasn't certain if you were being serious, but given Dmitri's proximity to Chechnya and the fact that similar rituals might be performed nearby, that might be possible. Interesting to see Sufi rituals practiced to openly there, either way.

I remember reading it from somewhere and translated it from Russian but that's not really of any use haha.
I see what you mean. Chechnya has been associated to a lot of extremism over the years and I make a very big point to differentiate extremism from traditional Islam. Sufi rituals were endorsed by even traditional Islam (the main sources i.e the Qur'an, reliable narrations) so it has a firm footing in Islamic worship. Some dumbasses in Islam don't understand it. It's just a shame that extremism satanically tries to redefine Islamic worship and how it's expressed.
Regardless, I hear the President of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov is quite a strange chap, he seems to be friends with both Beterbiev and Kudryashov lol. If Beterbiev ever receives a gift decision, some of us may suspect who's behind it - some of his amateur matches are seen as suspicious. Even though he looked like he was going to dominate, the ref would suspiciously stop some of his bouts early.

I was rooting for Lebedev and thought he may have won but it was a great fight and I enjoyed it very much. Would love to see a rematch. I honestly did not score it closely, just enjoyed the Hell out of it.
