You claimed Stanley gave Johnson a black eye, and cited a article stating as much. Yet we've seen photos and stills of Johnson during the fight and post fight, and there is no black eye. Yet you want to post another source as valid, when we've already seen they aren't always valid? Then, you want to trumpet a quote from Stanley which is blatantly false, and blatantly more false than the quote of Sam that you disregarded as BS. Stanley literally said he's in better condition than Johnson LOL. This is what you quoted him saying and trying to pass along as proof? You came into the thread lambasting Sam for saying lies, yet you post lies to support your argument... odd

 

Jesus. Someone trying to pretend Ketchel was in better shape than Johnson after the fight? Lol. Just before he died Ketchel gave an interview stating he suffered from headaches for months after that ko loss and still hadnt recovered fully.

 

If your entire point is something I claimed that may or may not be proved on film, this a narrow conversation.

I'll settle for a cut and a lump produced by Ketchel who on the surviving films looks awful and hardly landed much at all. Fair facts.

He also said Jeffries was the Greatest. And didn't Langford or was it his manager say he had Johnson down at 156 pounds in their lone boxing match?

It seems like Langford said a lot of things, and some of them were wrong.
