GGG Jacobs going to purse bid Dec 19

I like Jacobs but saying he has wins over 4 former world titlist is almost a big a joke as calling Broner a 4 division champion.

 

The term is good boys, not good guys.

So basically we can be pretty damn sure that if Jacobs hasn't signed within a week, the fight won't happen.
There's no way that we get a 7M+ purse bids which would give Jacobs at least some edge over the 1.5M that they offered already.
Haymon doesn't do PPV, which would be needed to hopefully break even or make a little profit with such a purse. And it seems like he's done throwing money away.
K2 definitely doesn't bid that kinda money, because they're not crazy.

Well, I think they wanted to make the WBA to order a purse bid much earlier which likely would have caused Jacobs to back out in enough time for Golovkin to keep the Dec date against a different opponent. Instead they just extended the negotiation period.

 

Mendoza has been itching for either Jacobs or Lara to step in with GGG and has been since before Canelo v Khan went down.
He's not letting Al Haymon off the hook, but he could possibly allow a similar last minute deal to be reached between Haymon and K2 as was the deal between K2 and matchroom, allowing Lara to fight in Jacobs stead.

Either of which would make K2, and Gennady Golovkin VERY happy.

you have to realize these type of guys like Kevin Willis(and by these type of guys i mean golovin superfan/white supremacists) dont give credit for that kind of stuff.....for months, years even, when it was insisted that lara would make a great opponent(or at least better than any hes had ...even now) for golovkin they pointed to lara getting knocked down by angulo...completely ignoring lara getting up and finishing angulo off

 

cool......when it had been suggested that lara would make a good opponent for golovkin his fanboys yelled "omg he knocks lara out in 2 rounds easy....he got dropped by angulo" over and over 2000x....because they are nothing but fanboys that defend his every move/duck.....glad some of you are still in reality
