Exactly Whyte misses out on purse through no fault of his own. Stopping the fight doesn't help anyone and it would be far easier for the board to dish out its punishment after the fight.
If the BBBoC have cancelled it all they've done is cheat ticket holders and PPV buyers out of one of the cards main attractions. Fine them sure but cancel? Nobody got hurt so I don't see what the big deal is. I did think Chisora was on thin ice when he started saying he didn't need a bboc license though. They're petty enough to take that to heart especially after he and Haye humiliated them by making their bout without their blessing.
I agree let them fight FFS. Guaranteed after the fight they will shake hands, hug it out and give respect to each other. If not and it kicks off again, ban them for long periods. Simple.
The BBoC and UKAD are both an absolute joke and don't seem willing to even address their glaring weaknesses.
The meeting to decide whether the fight is on/off was scheduled for 3PM today. Suppose we'll know for 100% definite within the next few hours. There's no need to cancel the fight. Haye landing a left hook on Bellew is probably worse than Chisora throwing a table in the general vicinity of Whyte, not hitting anyone or coming close to being at all dangerous. Fine them, but don't cancel the bout, that's their living and a cancellation only harms the sport.
Old men in suits trying to make the story about them. Throwing a table is crass but no harm done. That said, it will probably top anything Derek throws in the ring on Saturday....
He threw a table at 3 people...I think we've become so desensitised to this kind of nonsense that this kind of thing is passed off. Where do you draw the line before you bring the sport in to disrepute? By the way, I do want to see these two fight. Maybe Price can step in.
