Noted, thanks for the feedback. Ward is a strange one stats wise, because he get's the stoppages but it's more due to accumulation of punches than one hit power, but we don't add any human bias to the stats, so in those terms it's hard to distinguish between a KO win due to one punch power or just accumulation of punches. Maybe 'ability to stop opponents' is a more accurate description, or maybe the algorithm isn't suited to this matchup as well. A lot goes into the stats, from weights and previous opponents, and how early they've KO'd their opponents or didn't, along with age, southpaw/orthodox, how quickly KO's came or didn't come against what standard of opponents. We go 3 levels down in terms of opponents opponents opponents on both sides so there's a lot of info to digest and put into those stats. It's a work in progress but opinions and suggestions are always welcome, I think we've got them pretty accurate so far though. If you want to see a feature added, I'll get it added for you. There's a small bias for time out of fighting, but maybe more emphasis needs to be put on these for certain situations, i'll take a look and see what I can do. :)

I agree, mind numbing at times but I enjoy it (most of the time) haha! Makes for interesting stats an breakdowns though I think, and if you ever want punch stats doing, we'll normally add it to the list anytime it's requested. We're only a 2 man team working full time elsewhere though, so we cant promise.

We are more accurate than compubox though, that I can guarantee... and we can get the moment that a punch is landed for any of those data points if needed to back that point up. :)

Ha ha ha was teasing a little bit, and I do find the stats interesting but as much from a methodological point of view as anything. There's a couple of things like your visual representation (your circular data points on the punchmap appear to correlate punch frequency to radius rather than area for instance which can give a misleading impression off a glance) and a round by round total would be useful (unless I missed it), but in general it's a solid piece of work. I just got one of those brains that's wired for numbers I guess, and it is a useful resource, but as I'm sure you'd agree not an actual substitute for watching and gauging the ebb and flow of a fight from a more immediate and visceral perspective. But with only two of you doing it that's a hell of an impressive undertaking.

In the history of punch stats for championship fights, the man who throws more and lands more in the majority of the rounds, with the benefit of a 10-8 knockdown round has NEVER lost.

The judging was crooked, and round 10 is where the cheating happened, one of Kovalev's best rounds, that all three judges gave to Ward.

Had Kovalev been given round 10, Ward can't win on the cards.

Well, RD 10 is not the only round that was stolen from Kovalev. This Multi-Title fight is a Highway Robbery in broad daylight. Another huge step down for Pro-Boxing.

You score a fight one time, while watching. Also watching on TV is not the same as the view the judges have... which is one of the big reasons we see differing scorecards in close fights.

If you watch with bias, you score with bias, if you re-watch with bias over and over all you are doing is fooling yourself more.
At this point all you whiners are just looking for confirmation bias, full stop.

STFU, get over it, and move on.

Just enjoy we got to see 2 prime elite fighters in the ring doing their thing.
