Big Andy could probably wipe out Joshua if they ever fought, especially if Ruiz has absorbed and weathered Joshua's bombs in the first half of the fight (a la Breazeale) and Joshua starts to gas from Round 7 onwards.

It wasn't that bad a fight though, both took solid shots which could've knocked down a lot of the division. It's just they both have very solid beards so the effect wasn't noticed.

I think this a marker for what could happen tonight, a close fight and Joshua could easily lose. His record is more padded than the cells Whyte and Chisora sleep in.

I expected Parker to initiate more. Being concerned about stamina stopped him from attempting to break down Ruiz, that and he was losing exchanges. Too many of those rounds were left up to the whim of the judges.

Yup he's an athlete in a fat boy suit. Pity he can't shift even just 15llbs. Surely then he could have pressed the fight more and got closer more often. When he closed the range, he won those exchanges. Massive missed opportunity...

I almost feel that Ruiz has a better chance against AJ than Parker. Stylistically, if he gets in close he could easily KO AJ.

Whereas Parker would have to get in close and throw punches, but he's not as good at that. I see him backpedalling for most of the fight against AJ en route to a UD or a late KO.

Can you believe bob Sheridan said this is the best heavyweight fight on a decade?

Doesn't have the power IMO. And I think Joshua definitely has substantially more power than Parker. Ruiz would probably make a couple rounds uncomfortable for Joshua but if Ruiz was to fight Joshua in the mid rounds like he did there against Parker he gets taken out brutally. I can just see an uppercut putting Ruiz's lights out.

Enjoyed the fight and credit to both of them. They both came to win and there was little between them IMO.

It was a pretty decent scrap.

Whyte's and Chisora's separate weigh-ins should have been conducted in a padded cell. I think Eddie Hearn missed the chance to sell some more pay per views by not doing so.

Hopefully this is an eye opener. He came close to becoming the HW champion of the world, hopefully he gets into better shape because he's got a lot of talent for a heavy guy. He just needs to be in better shape. THAT'S PRETTY MUCH IT.
