Joseph Parker vs Andy Ruiz Jr. & Jeff Horn vs. Ali Funeka RBR.

Parker had the style to bust Ruiz up on the inside. He just didn't have the talent to do it.

 

I think pretty much everyone would agree with that except for agenda driven spastics like dino.

 

The fact there are so many UK lads on damage control at this time prove they see something worth caring about in Parker.

Probably more so than I. I don't rate Parker that high. Do I think he deserved to win tonight? Yes. Just.

Do I think he's world class? Meh, in the modern day heavyweight scene, sure. He's a calibre above the likes of Whyte, Chisora and Hughie.

I saw Parker fight many times as an amateur here in NZ. Although he has developed, I can pick out more than a handful of defensive/offensive flaws that an elite fighter would exploit.

However, he is fortunate to be present in an era where the division is very close. When I say close, I mean very little separates the fighters, as none can really be considered elite...

Parker gets beaten by Haye, AJ and Wlad.

I do know one thing, Takam and Ruiz are better than those on AJ and Wilders resume at this stage.

In the number of fights Parker has had, he has fought pretty much the same calibre of fighters Fury had at this stage of his own career.

Nobody (with a brain) expects a bigger man to be more effective than a smaller man with a shorter reach on the inside. When you do get a big fighter that can fight well inside like Bowe or Corrales then it's a big deal and a rarity

No way Parker was going to beat up Ruiz Jr on the inside, he could have competed with him in there and maybe he could of ground him down in a battle of attrition but why fight like that if you can just win rounds on the outside.

Not too convinced by Parker here, struggling to make any impression on a shorter fat kid who'd flown 11k km to get there. I could now make a case for cousin Hughie getting a decision on Parker, and that is not good is it? The hype on Joshua is just the same in my view.

 

Ridiculous post.. If Lewis didn't know how to fight inside he would have lost to Mercer.. If Parker was anywhere as good as Lewis he would have shortened his shots and uppercutted Ruiz clean out of his wheel house.

The only reason you agree with me about DW is because he's American. Not because of his ability. Much the same as the reason you dislike Parker. Your agenda is so transparent. If the fighter doesn't align to boost the stocks of AJ (Whyte for example) then consider them bums.

AJ and Parker are both fortunate they grew up in this era.

 

I'm not going to **** on Parker. I don't think he's ready for the top 5 in the division yet. Priority #1 is to fix his stamina issues. He's going to have to feel comfortable engaging more. A confused effort. I know he can do better.
