I 100% agree Hearn and Ortiz should be ashamed, but at the same time do you not think that experience was great for him? Even though he got a hit a lot he was completely coherent still, I dont think he took a career ending beating at all. I saw him better in this fight than the Whyte fight, sharper, and faster, now match him up against Lewison I think he pulls that one off.

Hearn was wrong for putting allen in with ortiz, especially after he went into a big depression after the whyte fight. He needs to be matched up with some bums to get his confidence back

Ah come on. Buglioni's effort against Chudinov still deserves credit. I like those fighters that leave their heart out there.

Well that was predictable. The fight should never have been sanctioned. Allen has a iron chin, huge nuts and a big heart but that's literally all he has. Ortiz is one of the best fighters in the division, whereas Allen is domestic class and sorely lacking in experience. Allen was coming off a loss, had contemplated hanging up his gloves due to suffering from depression, has a very limited offence, and to top it off he wasn't even in shape (not that he was ever going to win even if he was), and they throw him in with a big punching highly skilled top 10 HW like Ortiz?? Allen should be learning his trade against tomato cans and journeymen not soaking up beatings against top 10 HWs, whether it be in a real fight or in the gym sparring - imagine the punishment he's taking in the gym against the likes of Wlad, Joshua, Fury and all the other top level HWs he's doing his walking punch bag routine against?

Deffo, Allen needs some easy matching for a little while to get his mojo going again and rebuild.

Ah I respect that too, but I didnt see the fight, never heard of this dude until I watched an IFL interview where they were trying to hype the fight up with beef between his opponent.
