Great victory for Gassiev since I saw 1 round I knew he will win.He will move up to the heavyweight next, according to himself.
Thanks, mate! I missed that fight! Very impressive pro debut for Egorov. The Pole is a dangerous opponent who always enters the ring to win a fight. He is much better than his fight record indicates as he has already gone the full route with quite a lot of names and made them sweat.Besides the durable Polish journeyman has a pretty decent chin. Well done job IMO!The same cant be ssaid about the matchmaker.Totally stupid to match a promising new fighter with such a teak tough cookie in his pro debut. It doesnt matter that Egorov won that fight. It was high risk, and little reward. Anyway! Props to Egorov for his impressive pro debut against a pretty decent opponent!!!!
Previously unified Lebedev lost only his IBF version to his Russian rival last week as the WBA failed to sanction the bout and Kornilov immediately offered to put the World Boxing Association belt up in a rematch next year. “A special permit request was filed and approved by the WBA for Dennis to participate in the bout with Gassiev as a non-title bout with the WBA,” Kornilov exclusively told World Boxing News. “Denis is a still champion and will follow all of the WBA regulations to perform his mandatory defense next. “There was no rematch clause in the fight because Gassiev was the IBF mandatory and his representatives did not agree to a rematch even if we were to voluntarily put the WBA title on the line. “As of now, Lebedev will move on and there are no specific plans yet.” On Lebedev’s spell receiving treatment after the fight, Kornilov added: “Denis has already gone home. He is great and has no real problems. Written by Phil D Jay from world/boxingnews.net
That will be interesting. He's got enough size and plenty of strength to do well in HW division in my opinion.
I think he can beat Wilder and fight at least even with Joshua,Joshua has not beaten anyone good to suggest he is the new steamroller of the division.
I too.I think Gasiev would take Wilder's power and hurt him badly and I think would knock him out he has better energy than Stiverne and skill set as well.Stiverne showed some power but nothing close really to bother Wilder.I think Gasiev would bother Joshua with his fast crisp punches I think he can beat Joshua also take Joshua's power but he has to fight perfect fight like against Lebedev.Joshua has not faced any big punchers yet and I want to see how he takes Wladimir's power and maybe see how he reacts to Ortiz's power if he knocks or beats Wladimir by decision.
