That's a big if...... Hide is put to sleep if Joshua lands a meaningful shot also. Hide would not be the aggressor, Joshua wipes him out in fast order.
Hide is vastly more experienced than Joshua. Hide has fought vastly superior competition than Joshua. AJ has never fought any opponent who was of the caliber of Herbie Hide although a Class B fighter, Hide could very easily completely destroy Joshua. Hide with his dancing style of hit and move would pose problems for Joshua. Obviously Joshua has the power to KO Hide if he can hit him, But you can't hit what you can't see. Hide KO5 Joshua KO2 if he can defeat Wladimir in April.
Even in his prime vitali wasn't a big puncher, let alone in his comeback when he was an slow arm puncher, no leverage whatsover.
In defeat yes.. But I don't think his win column is necessarily filled with better scalps.. There's a lot of garbage on that record.

I wouldn't get carried away with being momentarily stunned by a 6'4", 245 lbs puncher with a high KO ratio. Whyte got is ass kicked.. And while Wlad beating Joshua is a possibility I wouldn't bet money on it. Wlad will be 41 years old and off for over year by the time that fight comes off.. I think Klit's finished. Not sure I agree about Hide's garbage being superior unless you feel that the 11-1 Michael Bentt was something great.
Hide would be the beat opponent of Joshua's career to date but provided he can avoid taking too many flush shots he should be able to grind Hide down.
Well yeah.. I mean Herbie Hide would have a puncher's chance against just about anybody.. Not just Joshua. For all his shortcomings the man could punch. That much can't be denied.
In his fight against Vitali, Hide was hurt by a punch to the back of the head. Technically that type of punch is illegal. But, Vitali is so tall that it just landed that way, and the ref was not at the right angle to see it. Quite frankly, I don't think the ref was properly prepared to see punches from such an unusually tall boxer as Vitali. I don't think Vitali did it on purpose, but those punches cause a lot of damage, and, Hide never recovered from that first blow.
