Lewis would flog him. Prime Holyfield would have beaten him too. Tyson would have cut him down fast.

That's interesting. I wonder would that account for the three caught in the Ring article? I don't have it as wide as Luf did in terms of the poll, I remember it being 46/49 of those polled had Valuev winning.

Had Valuev had even speed would it then only be plausible , if you cant see that another SHW with olympic gold pedigree doesnt win easy here over a guy who never fought a power puncher with size that would reach MUCH different to the Hayes and Holyfield he fought then you really are crazy ! No slow fighter is going to beat Lewis ,he will see the punches coming and Valuevs limited mobility is why this isnt even a fair fight.

    Lewis wins this, and easily.

120-108, and he may even stop the Giant.

The difference in speed, skills and power nullifies SNV's size advantages

Agree with all three of those guys beating him convincingly. Lewis is probably the only one of those the trio who I'd pick to score a stoppage against Nikolay though. I think Valuev's size and durability would see him to the final bell against the other two.

Valuev's a different kind of big man than the kind Lennox went after early. He'd be fine boxing even if it was Lennox was winning the rounds.

There's a misconception about Valuev's power because people are assuming he punched as hard as he could, and that just wound up not being very hard. Not the case. Valuev didn't fight to hurt people and rarely gave 100%. He held back in his fights. There wasn't a killer instinct there: he hated the negative stereotypes that came along with being a giant and didn't want to feed into it by going out there like a savage. Today, the guy is a children's TV host.

Keeping that in mind, you wouldn't want to provoke him. In Lennox's shoes, why risk going after him hard early and ticking him off when Valuev getting mad and landing a lucky shot is his only real chance of winning? That'd be the last strategy Manny would send him in with.

Yes he is a different kind ,he isn't as dangerous as some other guys Lewis took out early.Valuev was never a big puncher, face it.I wouldn't want to provoke him because I am 68 years old and my ring days are long behind me.For Lewis he would be cake!

What am I not facing? The guy wasn't a big puncher. I've explained why.

If he fought with the mindset of Dempsey or Tyson, he'd have legit killed people in the ring. He didn't want that and had enough of a problem with people being scared of him without feeding in to it.

It would be cake for Lennox because he'd fight smart and Steward would have a smart gameplan for him. Disappointing as that ultimately would be for people on a message board who predict blocks being knocked into the 3rd row for fun.

John L Sullivan was once top 1 of all time and he'd also have no chance against this beast.
