Let me give this a shot 1.Ward 2. Vasyl 3. Kovalev 4. Chocolatito 5. Golovkin 6. Rigondeaux 7. Canelo 8. Crawford 9. Pac 10. Frampton
How do you rate Thurman? Do you think he deserves P4P Top 10 Consideration? If not, why not? The performance he put on vs Porter left me inspired as a fan. Just the way he fought that fight you know.
1. Kovalev 2. Gonzalez 3. Ward 4. Golovkin 5. Estrada 6. Crawford 7. Rigo 8. Frampton 9. Garcia 10. Loma That's a good list right there.
I'm surprised you don't have Pacquaio p4p #1, or Jessie Vargas or Bradley in your top 10 especially since Pacquaio beat them.
1.Lomachenko 2.Ward 3.Kovalev 4. Chocolatito 5. Golovkin 6. Rigondeaux 7. Usyk 8. Canelo 9. Crawford 10. Frampton
1. Gonzalez 2. GGG 3. Pacquiao 4. Kovalev 5. Ward 6. Loma 7. Crawford 8. Canelo 9. Rigondeaux 10. Frampton
Some of you forget this isn't a popularity contest. Ward got the nod over Kovalev, but he wouldn't beat Loma, Rigs, Crawford, Pac, Usyk etc. if they were the same size. 1.Rigondeaux 2.Lomachenko 3.Pacquiao 4.Ward 5.Kovalev 6.Crawford 7.Gonzalez 8.Golovkin 9.Joshua 10.Usyk
Results through 19 votes: 1. Gonzalez 157 2. Ward 149 3. Lomachenko 144 4. Kovalev 141 5. Golovkin 94 6. Rigondeaux 89 7. Crawford 86 8. Pacquiao 54 9. Canelo 45 10. Frampton 21 Usyk 17 Inoue 16 Estrada 11 Mikey Garcia 9 Degale 5 Danny Garcia 4 Thurman 3 Joshua 2 Lara 1 Spence 1 Fury 1 Note: the last two posts for 'Garcia' I assumed were for Mikey Garcia. Please edit the first name if you meant Danny. Lomachenko and Gonzalez each have 6 number 1 votes, and Ward 3.
That's very much what I like to see and I agree - the resume first, 'who you beat' approach is supposedly more objective, but in fact raises far more questions and uncertainties than it gives answers to. I mean, unless you enjoy debating exactly how many 2011 era Pascals a 2014 era Mile High Mike is worth or somesuch you might as well just take the Boxrec route and computerise all that BS. At least that takes the biases we all have out of the equation. I mean yeah, I may utterly disagree with your belief that Canelo is the best fighter in the world right now, but I respect your right to make that call - maybe you're seeing something I don't. The best way to come up with these kinds of lists is to do exactly what Qwerty's attempting with this thread, get a loada guys to throw their opinions together and trust that some kinda loose consensus will come out of it. As long as y'all still remember P4Ps's still a pile of turtle pellets...
