Eubank Jr moving to 168 fighting for IBO world title vs Renold Quinlan

Let's hope it goes ahead and the poor sales give ITV a clear message.

After Hearn charging PPV for scandalous fights such as Joshua v 3 puddings etc, they must think the mugs have an endless supply of coin to waste.

 

If it was just on normal ITV I think it would do decent numbers, even though it's against an utter nobody. They just don't help themselves do they. He is definitely a talent, he's recognisable and has the so called 'star quality'.

If they had anything about them, they would have him with Matchroom and as chief support on every big Joshua PPV and build him up that way.

 

Why do they need a message before sanctioning money for a fighter who is not proven world class against a 11 fight novice for a Mickey Mouse belt. I want to know who made the decision and on what basis. The only thing I can think that makes sense in my mind is if they have a big fight lined up after for the IBO "world title" like a unification with Groves and they are willing to tank this time just to test the platform and give everyone an awareness on how to buy etc

But as everyone pointed out he is being rightly protected as he has wonderful attributes but no boxing intelligence as displayed against BJ. Madness not to take on GGG as it was a no brainier loads of money and loss no real consequence.

 

They have made their idiotic decision so hope it flops mate.

 

Tbh as a CEJ fan I don't really like anything about this fight and wouldn't pay for it.

It's quite despicable making it PPV, and fans have a right to call it a disgrace.

If it were on free tv it would be more acceptable, hopefully Quinlan doesn't shock the world

 

The venue is the Lee Valley Leisure Centre in picketts lock. Still PPV tho.

Don't buy it, PPVs like this will rely on people deciding at last minute "oh why not" and then they end up profitable despite being a load of ****.

ITV should have put Eubank jr on a few times against people like Quinlan, with a view to getting more of the mainstream British public on his side Joshua-style, then possibly done a PPV against a real name fighter in a year or two, stupidity all round this.

 

Eubank snr in completely mental. But then so is whoever it is at ITV who agreed to this farce.
