This was prob the only fight I didn't want to see him get KO'd in but I still see the funny side of it.

Should really not have fought again but he was addicted to the game. Only a bad loss to a middling young buck was going to bring down the curtain.

The guy has just had his brain shook around in his head, I'm not surprised by anything that comes out of his mouth immediately following that. If in a weeks time he continues on saying it was a push, then that's when he deserves some criticism. He's never been a good sport and does have a very big ego so that might well happen.

Can't feel sorry for him when hes a sore loser who can't give credit. Hops has always had high self-confidence, but it was always bordering on arrogance. It finally got the better of him.

I feel sorry for watching that corny ass special he had before his fight. That was cringeworthy.

I got love for the OG and always will.

But I dont feel a bit sorry for B hop getting knocked out.

Both fighters knew what they were signing up for.

Were not supposed to be getting sentimental when a fighter gets Laid Out.

    This is boxing.

    It is what it is.

his brain being shook means nothing in relation to accepting loss. he will never admit he lost this fight legit. I admire the man personally but when he can con he will. Even if he was face planted he would still have an excuse lol

I didn't watch the post fight interviews so I have no idea what was said. I think Bernard was lucky not to break his neck in that fall. I guess that's as good as any silver lining.

It can greatly affect memory and perception, e.g. your understanding of what just happened. Random google: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0140673670916910

"Progressive retrograde amnesia was noted in four football players who, after concussion, had definite post-traumatic confusion but knew the immediate preconcussive event. They then lost this retrograde memory over a period of a few minutes. Apparently the fixation of short-term memory requires more than rehearsal and is interfered with by the continuing effects of a concussive injury in the post-trauma period."

E.g., get concussed, that recent memory of what's just happened fades extremely quickly.

Maybe if he would have been more gracious in defeat. But it was clear he was trying to pursway the officials into thinking it was a push that way he'd get a no contest. I didn't even see any indication he sprained his ankle at all. NONE... But that was the story line he was trying to push...:shakehead:

Most definitely. He did a lot for the sport and gave his all to the sport. I'd have loved to see him go out with a victory as opposed to a devastating ko loss. He took a flush combo and also landed on the back of his head. He complained about a swelling ankle but I'm sure his entire body is aching right about now. Hopefully there aren't any long term effects from this fight but it seems unrealistic that a 51 year old man can take that type of punishment without it taking a toll on his body, that was pretty much a worse case scenario as far as outcomes for the fight.

    What does face planted mean?
