During Hides 2nd reign as WBO champion he fought Willie Fischer and Damon Reed, these fighters are equally as bad if not worse only Hide only had 2 of these type of defences where as Wilder is going into his 5th.

I respect Wilder as a champion but I find it annoying how HE KNEW that his upcoming options were either Parker or Hughie Fury and then he put his glasses on and carefully selected Wawrsuks ranked 40th in the WBS.

He took himself out of that triangle knowing that Parker is likely to settle for his mandatory Fury. That whole time we were waiting to see what Wilder had to say about Parkers offer, he was waiting for the WBC to approve his request for a voluntary defence. It maybe strategic but its annoying and not very champion like.

What's quite worrying is that if we assume Fury is still out of the question then he actually has the most accomplished resume out of the current champions.
