Since this fight was announced I've been repeatedly informed, that Wladimir Klitschko is too old, that he doesn't know how to pull the trigger, and that Joshua is taking this fight at the best time. I raise a nodding smile, safe in the knowledge that they have no idea what they are talking about and it would be as waste of good breath trying to educate them on such limited one dimensional thinking

Firstly you do not lose the ability to throw a punch after boxing for over 30 years, neither do you lose ting IQ and technique, which are what I believe are going to be the crucial factors in this contest. Klitschko only failed to pull the trigger against Fury, because he was too occupied and concerned with Fury's reach and unpredictability. Neither of those qualities does Joshua pose.

Unquestionably Joshua is a formidable foe, with his size and power; indeed the best Nigerian boxer that the country has ever produced. However size and power alone can only get you so far. What concerns me is that his preparation has been exclusively against either defenceless old men, former NLF players looking for a quick dollar, wannabe rappers or fat out of breath rolly pollies.

    This is madness.

It's the equivalent of Uganda feeling as they are equipped in fighting Russia, after disposing of discontented civilians in their own country consisting of the elderly, the decrepit, and those unarmed who knew not that they were in battle.

Sameul Peters was a similar fighter who had a hard punch and ferocious offence, believing he could in fact power his way through to victory as if he was in the wild. Wladmir in response kept Peter's head at the end of his stiff jab and circle around him while teeing off numerous straight right hands that butchered his face until his eyes closed shut.

The same fate I believe awaits Joshua. For power and strength does not overcome power and strength accompanied with ringmanship, intelligence and experience. The threat Joshua poses is nothing Wladmir hasn't seen and dealt with and swatted away like a bothersome fly. All this without synthetic aids, for Klitschko is an organic machine. A true superior specimen who understands this is boxing, there are rules, so i Joshua thinks he can bring his street tactics to the ring in such a high calibre fight, hitting after the bell, then he has another thing coming.

Wladimir will demonstrate to Joshua, true Evolution and prove that a 40 year old can defy any preconceived notions surrounding age. An age Joshua will be lucky to see let alone fight at, providing his overgrown ped heart doesn't fail him.

biggest factor in this fight for wlad is experience not genetics.
samuel peter and anthony joshua besides being of nigerian descent i do not see the link.
wlad has seen it /done it.
joshua has never boxed past 6 1/2 rounds and is still a novice in terms of rounds boxed.

This is an hilarious perversion of reality. You make Wlad sound like he was Larry Holmes in there:risas3:

Reality is WK was a hairs distance from a stoppage loss in that fight and had to run , hold , maul and bear hug constantly to save himself.
If that was Joshua he woulda burst out of those coward clinches in the first few rounds and knocked him for six with heavy blows to the head.
Those rabbit punch knock downs were a result of Peter breaking free and hitting Wlad while he tried to cower away to safety:meparto::facepalm:

Wlad performed shockingly in BOTH fights. Life n death in the first and win by illegal hug fest in the second.

WK is in for a very early night if he thinks hugging and mauling are the keys to victory:eeek::eeek: :ambulance::ambulance::ambulance:

I'll summarise... The whole post was designed to shoehorn in this line... 'indeed the best Nigerian boxer that the country has ever produced'.

    The rest was badly-written padding...

Sepithroth Rising makes a good comparison between what we saw in Wlads last fight with Tyson Fury and what we already know about Joshua. Fury was switching it up, Fury did have a reach and height that Wlad doesnt run into very often and like you say, what Joshua brings is what Wlad is use to knocking out.

The original post is dead on correct and come April, it will be proven correct

Wlad Has never had the commitment and motivation to redeem himself like he has now

He quoted steward who said he would "one day have a signature fight", and he sees this as that "signature flight" steward was referring to

Wlad will go balls out on this one. And will show the skeptics that 41 is not the deabilitating factor some think it is for a disciplined, dedicated fighter who maintains supreme condition all the time

I think the result will depend on these factors:

    - Wlad's jab: quick, sharp and take advantage of AJ's lack of head movement.

    - Wlad, the hug monster: if we see this kind of strategy against a young champion with a lot of money on his back I don't thinks judges will give him this one, plus I think clinch fighting is a MUST when you prepare yourself against a Klitschko.

    - AJ's stamina: he'll aim for a short fight, Wlad won't.

    - AJ's movement: what allowed Fury survive.

    - Wlad's timing to counter: to me the best chance to break AJ's momentum and control the rythem of the fight.

I like Joshua but to me Wlad has many tools to deal with him.

Vlad easily outboxed Joshua in sparring back in camp sometime back....................Vlad knows Joshua............Lennox Lewis picks Vlad to beat Joshua. Vitali said that if Vlad is 100%, he will easily beat Joshua, that Vlad will be focused on this fight, unlike the Fury fight. I know why he lost, Fury knew Vlad would have knocked him out in the rematch. Vitali said that age will not be a factor.................Joshua has not learned that much since the sparring days in camp, he hasn't fought anyone................Vlad should win this fight, don't forget, Vlad has tons of power, his left hook, jab, right hand, and he has shown a good uppercut, right hook, etc., I have all his and Vitali's fights. Vlad has great defense and stamina and a good chin, he has been hit hard at times over his career.................but he improved. Motivation is the key word in this fight............

Lets not forget that Wladimir made Joshua his son during sparring sessions when he was invited to train with him. That is why Joshua was called ''little bro''.

I noticed this nickname has wound Joshua up to the point where he has come out and made a statement declaring that he can knock Wladimir out within a round.

I believe Joshua's arrogance, will be his downfall. I think those sparring sessions burn him to where each time Wladimir refers to him as ''little bro'' it reminds him of those lashings.

You are not seriously going to compare Wladmir Klitschko to Charles Martin are you?
